Former Texas Longhorns WR Matthew Golden ran a 4.29 40-yard dash at the NFL Combine, beating former teammate Isaiah Bond. At 5'11 and 191 pounds, Golden is nearly a lock to be a first round draft pick and may even be in contention to be the first WR selected.
Golden did not complete any other drills at the Combine, but his speed is enough to establish him as a top WR in the class.
After an excellent season at Texas that utilized his speed, Golden should be a deep threat in the NFL.
His draft stock should put Golden in the first round of most rookie drafts and managers may have to make tough decisions between Golden and one of the RBs in that stacked class.
The situation and fit will be key to utilize Golden's talents and develop him into a WR who will consistently score fantasy points.
