ESPN’s Jamison Hensley writes that “there’s no question the Ravens would like to retain” LT Ronnie Stanley. However, the 31-year-old (in March) is set to hit free agency after an excellent 2024.
After battling injuries in previous seasons, Stanley played a full slate of games in 2024.
He returned to prominence as a pass blocker, finishing 16th (out of 87 qualifiers) in PFF’s pass blocking grade. Stanley allowed only two sacks.
Looking at another performance metric, Stanley finished 12th in ESPN’s pass block win rate.
Now, Baltimore’s current cap situation might make for a tricky re-signing. The team might simply decide to allocate dollars elsewhere and promote from within.
For example, RT Roger Rosengarten could make the move to LT, given his experience at that position.
When asked about a potential move, GM Eric DeCosta piled praise on the young lineman.
"He's a mature guy beyond his years," DeCosta said, via ESPN. "I think a year in the weight room is going to really serve him well. It's a very tough position to play as a young player. I think his future is very bright -- as with all the other guys that he played with on the offensive line this year -- and we're excited to see what he looks like next year."
We'll see which path Baltimore chooses at LT. Ultimately, there's no cause for concern when it comes to Lamar Jackson, who played all 17 games in 2024. He recently turned 28 years old.
Justin Fields has proved that when he's on the field, so is big fantasy upside. Drafters are underrating the new Jets QB. So he leads this list of five high-ceiling fantasy football sleepers.
