Titans RB Tony Pollard is officially out with the flu and is not traveling with the team to Jacksonville for Sunday’s game. This places Tyjae Spears as the lead back for the gam
Jeremy Fowler of ESPN: “Titans RB Tony Pollard has the flu, jeopardizing his status for Sunday at Jacksonville, per source. He is not expected to travel with the team today. He was on the injury report with an ankle issue but had planned to play through that.”
Pollard was already questionable with an ankle injury, but this makes it even more unlikely that he plays this week.
Just like last week, Pollard planned to still play through the ankle injury, but the flu adds more complications.
If Pollard doesn’t play against the Jaguars, RB Tyjae Spears becomes a smash play for the fantasy championship. He has strung together a few great games, especially in PPR leagues.
The Titans offense would likely run through Spears in a great match-up against the Jaguars
Though the Titans are out of the playoff hunt, they are still fighting for momentum heading into next season.
Play Spears with confidence if Pollard sits.
