Dolphins QB Tua Tagovailoa has been downgraded to Doubtful for Sundays game against the Browns. It is unlikely he will play putting QB Tyler Huntley in line to star
Adam Schefter of ESPN: “Dolphins are downgrading Tua Tagovailoa to doubtful for Sunday’s game at Cleveland due to a hip injury, per sources. Tagovailoa still is pushing to play Sunday, but if he can’t, Tyler Huntley would be in line to replace him.”
Tagovailoa’s hip injury appears to be worse than it first appeared.
A Doubtful status means he will surely not play this week against the Browns
Huntley starting gives a bit more rushing upside for the position, but it also downgrades the Dolphins receiving weapons
Both Tyreek Hill and Jayleen Waddle are Questionable for the game as it is, but they would be mediocre plays at best with Huntley at QB.
TE Jonnu Smith also has been lowered in our rankings
RB De’Von Achane should be the center of the offense as they only had a 43.5% pass rate with Huntley at QB this season.
In a championship week that is already thinning out due to injuries, this is unwelcome news for those with Dolphins receiving options.
