TE Chig Okonkwo led the Titans in targets (11), receptions (9), and receiving yards (81) for Sunday's loss to the Colts. He also ran a route on a season-high 83.3% of Tennessee dropbacks, trailing only WR Nick Westbrook-Ikhine and WR Calvin Ridley. It was the second straight week Okonkwo set season highs in targets and receptions.
QB Mason Rudolph has boosted TE target shares when he's been in vs. Will Levis' starts.
Okonkwo's three games this season with 4+ catches have included two full Rudolph games and the Week 15 contest in which he took over for the second half.
Sunday's playing time marked a shift vs. the rest of Okonkwo's season and likely benefited at least some from his team trailing big for most of the game.
The TE had already doubled his nearest teammate in targets (6-3) by halftime, though.
Expect Okonkwo to check in higher in our TE rankings for a Week 17 visit to Jacksonville, assuming Rudolph keeps the gig.
