Falcons RB Tyler Allgeier reached double-digit carries for the second straight game in Sunday's win over the Giants. His 11 attempts in Week 16 marked the first time all year that he reached double digits in consecutive games. Allgeier tallied just 22 yards on the ground, though, and caught his lone target for 9 yards.
It clearly helped Allgeier that the Falcons scored a lopsided, 34-7, victory over the Giants. He rushed just three times vs. Bijan Robinson's 12 in the first half.
It also didn't hurt that Atlanta called 35 designed runs vs. just 30 dropbacks.
That marked a much closer split than the 36 rushes to just 21 dropbacks in Kirk Cousins' final start the week before, though.
Allgeier carried 12 times in that game. A 33% share of your team's carries won't typically get you to double digits, though.
Allgeier had fallen short of 10 carries each of the previous three weeks, even as Atlanta morphed into the league's most run-heavy offense behind a spiraling Cousins.
Bet on his carry count declining for a Week 17 visit to Washington.
