Browns RB Nick Chubb averaged 4.4 yards per carry in Sunday's loss to the Steelers. That marked his second-best average through seven apperances this season. But he also garnered just 11 carries vs. Jerome Ford's 10 for the game. Chubb also trailed Ford in pass routes and total snaps once again.
The Browns went up 7-3 with just less than 6 minutes remaining in the first quarter. But the Steelers scored next to reclaim the lead and stayed ahead the rest of the way.
That set up poor conditions for Chubb to get the ball. And he even trailed Ford 6 carries to 5 at halftime.
Chubb tallied 28 of his 48 yards for the game on two runs late in the third quarter: carries for 9 yards and 19 yards with his team down 27-7.
Chubb and the Browns now get the league's worst RB-scoring matchup in Week 15: the Chiefs. That won't be a spot to use Chubb, if you can help it.
After that comes a rematch with the Bengals. They managed just 21 points at Cleveland back in Week 7 but have scored 27+ points in four straight games (ahead of Monday night's visit to Dallas).
The Cincinnati run defense won't be scary for Chubb, but the Bengals are capable of jumping ahead and pushing Cleveland out of leaning run.
Week 17 holds a home date with Miami. We'll see how Chubb and the matchup look as that week approaches. But you probably won't be looking to play the Browns RB unless you play in a deeper league.
Ford finished Sunday's game with 28 yards on 10 carries and 3 catches for 19 yards on 4 targets.
