The 49ers have activated S Talanoa Hufanga from IR. He put in limited practices all week and is officially questionable. But Jennifer Lee Chan of NBC Sports Bay Area on Friday called him "set to return" for Sunday's game against the Bears.
Hufanga has been out since suffering the wrist injury in Week 5. He has been practicing with a club on the repaired wrist.
That's bound to inhibit his ability to intercept passes, and big plays have been central to Hufanga's fantasy value.
It's also not clear how much playing time Hufanga will see upon his return. Ji'Ayir Brown and Malik Mustapha have played solidly as the starting safeties.
Don't plan to use Hufanga in Week 14 IDP lineups, and he's probably not worth stashing in most cases. Hufanga ranked outside our top 50 at DB heading into the season.
