Falcons QB Kirk Cousins tied a career high with 4 INTs in Sunday’s loss to the Chargers. He managed only 6.3 yards per attempt and a low 61.5% completion rate.
Here’s Cousins after the loss:
“Coming off the bye week, I felt really good,” he said. “I would love to tell you that I’m fighting through something, but that’s not the case. I felt as good today as I have all season.”
Here’s HC Raheem Morris, who confirmed that Cousins will remain the starter for Week 14 vs. the Vikings:
“That guy has carried us this season,” Morris said. “He has done such a marvelous job that it’s hard to throw that guy under the bus after what he’s done for us. We will bounce back, we will bring him back and we’ll be ready to go.”
Cousins has now gone three straight games without a TD.
On the year, he’s tallied a huge 33% of his fantasy production in two games – both against Tampa Bay.
Brutal.
Cousins made some head-scratching decisions on his INTs, including an end zone ball thrown into heavy traffic. After the loss, he said he “misinterpreted” where he could fit a jump ball to Drake London.
Week 14 turns up his former team – in Minnesota. After that comes a pair of much easier matchups vs. the Raiders and Giants. Continue to treat Cousins as a shaky QB2.
TreVeyon Henderson’s highlight reel screams fantasy stardom — but is he built to handle more than a complementary role?
