The Bears have fired HC Matt Eberflus in the wake of Thursday's late debacle against the Lions. He finished 14-32 across two seasons and nearly three-quarters of his third. Chicago has named Thomas Brown interim HC, just three games after he was elevated from passing-game coordinator to interim OC.
It's hard to envision this change delivering a big impact to Chicago's stat production the rest of the way. It likely can't hurt the team's in-game management, though.
QB Caleb Williams has already delivered two of his best fantasy outings of the year the past two weeks vs. two of the toughest defenses he'll face (Minnesota and Detroit).
We've still seen more bad than good from the rookie, though, and remain hesitant to over-trust Williams in 1-QB fantasy lineups the rest of the way.
The offense has become more functional since dumping OC Shane Waldron, though. Expect the Bears to remain more usable over the final quarter of the season.
Build an unbeatable team with these eight fantasy football sleepers. A first-time starter with QB1 upside, a rookie RB with top-20 potential, an exciting second-year breakout WR, and more!
