Giants QB Tommy DeVito appears to be a longshot to play on Thanksgiving due to his forearm injury. He is formally listed as questionable, but Drew Lock is in line to start, according to reports. DeVito's injury will be evaluated further.
Jordan Raanan of ESPN: "It’s a longshot that QB Tommy DeVito will be able to play Thursday vs. Cowboys, per source. That puts Drew Lock in line for a start.
The Giants say DeVito is undergoing further evaluation."
DeVito is officially listed as Questionable, but Raanan's report casts doubt on his availability. He won't travel with the team but meet them in Dallas separately due to evaluations for the injury.
Drew Lock is likely a potential upgrade for the Giants weapons, though he still is far from a top NFL passer. Managers with WRs Malik Nabers and Wan'Dale Robinson should be more comfortable starting them this week.
If the Giants offense is more effective, RBs Tyrone Tracy and Devin Singletary could also get a bump for potential TD numbers.
This isn't set in stone, so keep an eye on tomorrow's inactives, but Lock himself could be a streaming QB in deep or superflex leagues.
