Shanahan said the soreness is from a hit Purdy took in the Week 11 loss to the Seahawks. This doesn't sound like a serious injury, but a throwing shoulder injury on a QB is always worth monitoring closely. QB Brandon Allen is listed with the second team on San Francisco's depth chart; Joshua Dobs with the third team.
