Jaguars RB Travis Etienne got the start Sunday in his return from a two-game hamstring absence. But he logged just 5 total touches and played fewer snaps than Tank Bigsby in the loss to the Eagles.
Etienne not only trailed Bigsby 8-3 in carries. He also ran just 12 pass routes to Bigsby's 16, according to Pro Football Focus, with D'Ernest Johnson jumping in for another 8 routes.
Johnson wound up playing just four fewer snaps than Etienne overall (17-13).
Etienne led the group with 3 targets, catching two for 6 yards. But his last touch came early in the third quarter. That might indicate the RB is about to get traded.
ESPN's Adam Schefter reported earlier in the week that Jacksonville was planning to trade WR Christian Kirk to the Steelers before Kirk broke a collarbone in Week 8.
We'll see this week whether Etienne's abrupt departure from Sunday's loss signaled the Jags agreeing to trade the RB.
His fantasy outlook hopes so, because Etienne hasn't been worth much to our rosters since about Week 2.
