Dolphins HC Mike McDaniel told reporters Monday that they are designating QB Tua Tagovailoa to return from IR this week and plan to have him practice Wednesday. Tagovailoa still must clear the concussion protocol before playing in games, but McDaniel said they hope to have him ready to play Sunday against the Cardinals.
Tyreek Hill had 26.0 PPR points in Week 1, with Tagovailoa behind center.
He has 37.0 PPR points in the five games since (7.4 per game).
Hill has exceeded 40 receiving yards in a game just once over the past five weeks and bottomed out at 1 reception for 8 yards against the Colts in Week 7.
Jaylen Waddle has similarly gone from 16.2 PPR points in Week 1 (without even scoring a TD) to 6.7 PPR points per game since Week 2.
It's tough to know who's be happier to see the Miami QB return: his WRs or fantasy managers.
Miami passed for 319 yards in Week 1, 212 in the Week 2 game Tagovailoa left in the third quarter, and then 136.5 per game since.
If Tagovailoa enjoys good stretches of production the rest of the way, you might want to try to sell him in dynasty.
Don't undersell by too much just to get away from him. But there's no telling what happens if another concussion strikes.
Trevor Etienne never led a college backfield. But could he be a secret weapon for your dynasty team? He leads this list of rookie sleepers ... that Ollie Gordon failed to make. (Find out why.)
