Cowboys WR CeeDee Lamb posted merely fine numbers in Sunday's lopsided loss to the Lions: 7 receptions, 89 yards. But he also saw his largest target share of the season. Lamb's 14 targets constituted 42.4% of QB Dak Prescott's pass attempts for the game. That followed a four-game stretch of down usage vs. his 2023 numbers.
Here are Lamb's weekly target shares this season (among Prescott pass attempts):
We didn't enter Sunday worried about his offensive role. But it's always nice to see a lead WR's target share rebound.
Lamb's 2023 actually started similarly, where he averaged 7 targets per game across the first six weeks -- then 12.6 per game following a Week 7 bye.
He drew 22% target share over those first six games, then 34.8% over the final 11.
Lamb is now sitting on a 24.6% of Prescott pass attempts so far this season.
He's also sitting just 16th among WRs in PPR points per game.
Throw in a Week 7 bye, and you might get a "buy low" window on Lamb right now.
According to our adjusted fantasy points allowed, Lamb and the Cowboys have the most favorable remaining WR schedule.
