Lions QB Jared Goff threw for 315 yards and 3 TDs on just 25 pass attempts in Sunday's win over the Cowboys. That's 12.6 yards per attempt and a 12% TD rate. He's obviously not going to sustain either of those rates -- and perhaps won't even repeat them for a single game. But it followed the game in which Goff set an NFL record by competing all 18 of his attempts.
The takeaway here is not so much Goff's production. That he and the offense can be so efficient in consecutive games obviously bodes well for the whole group.
Detroit does get a tough matchup with Minnesota in Week 7, which will probably land Goff outside of starter range in our QB rankings.
After that, though, sits five straight weeks of fine-to-good matchups for QB scoring.
