Jaguars RB Tank Bigsby rushed 13 times for 101 yards and 2 TDs in Sunday's win over the Colts. He more than doubled Travis Etienne's carry count (6) and drew his first target of the season. Bigsby took that for a 28-yard reception.
Bigsby wound up playing one more snap than Etienne, with D'Ernest Johnson chiming in for 1 carry and 3 targets.
This game marked a stark change in RB playing time, as Bigsby had trailed well behind Etienne in snaps through the first four weeks. Even in Week 4, when Etienne missed most of the first quarter with a shoulder injury, he still played 13 more snaps than Bigsby for the game.
We'll see whether this becomes the new normal or if Jacksonville was just riding the hot hand. Both guys got 4 carries in the first half, though, combining for just 17 yards.
Etienne got the first carry on each of the team's first two possessions in the second half. But then Bigsby ran for a 19-yard TD on the next and led the fourth-quarter rushing.
Bigsby should be on a team in any league of 12+ teams at this point.
