Dolphins Edge Jaelan Phillips announced Wednesday that he'll miss the rest of the season with a knee injury he suffered Monday night against the Titans. "I suffered a season ending knee injury that will require reconstructive surgery," he posted on Instagram. That marks a second straight season-ending injury for Phillips, who tore an Achilles' tendon last November.
We'll watch for more details on Phillips' injury, repair, and recovery timeline.
He's just 25, so there's time to rebound -- especially for a guy who made it back from the 2023 Achilles' injury to start this season on time.
But every big injury is bound to take a toll on his body. And there's extra risk in lower-body issues for a guy who relies on explosion off the snap.
Losing Phillips obviously damages a Dolphins D that has struggled anyway. Look for Miami to try to add some pass-rush help. Edge Bradley Chubb also remains out, still working back from last year's ACL tear.
