Giants HC Brian Daboll said Wednesday that RB Devin Singletary is missing practice because of a groin injury. Dan Duggan of The Athletic added that the RB seems "headed for questionable territory based on Daboll's comments today." The Giants visit the Seahawks this Sunday.
Singletary missing practice looks even worse when you factor in that the Giants played their Week 4 game nearly a week ago (Thursday night vs. the Cowboys).
If Singletary can't go for Sunday's game at Seattle, then rookie Tyrone Tracy would likely lead the backfield. He has trailed way behind Singletary in playing time to date (71% of snaps vs. 24.6%). But Tracy has also more than quadrupled Eric Gray's playing time (66 snaps vs. 15).
Don't bet on as clear a lead role for Tracy as Singletary has gotten, but the former WR would present some receiving upside -- especially in a game that finds Seattle favored by 6. And even more so if WR Malik Nabers (concussion) winds up not playing.
Tracy's a solid add in 12-team leagues right now.
You can stash Gray in deeper leagues if you have a spot to play with, but he has offered nothing to get excited about since arriving as a fifth-round pick in 2023.
