Lions QB Jared Goff went a perfect 18-for-18 passing in Monday night's win over the Seahawks, racking up 292 yards and 2 TDs -- plus catching a 7-yard TD pass from WR Amon-Ra St. Brown. Goff's performance set the NFL record for most pass attempts in a game without an incompletion. His QB9 fantasy finish followed a three-week start to the year that found Goff finishing no higher than QB17.
Goff's perfect night against Seattle followed a far-from-perfect start to the year. He threw more INTs (4) than TDs (3) through the first three games and ranked 30th among QBs in Pro Football Focus passing grade heading into Week 4.
Goff also faced a Seahawks defense missing four starters plus first-round DT Byron Murphy.
The performance was certainly impressive nevertheless, including a 70-yard TD to WR Jameson Williams and enduring three sacks.
Goff will need to show more before he belongs back in low-QB1 consideration every week, though.
