Buccaneers QB Baker Mayfield threw for 347 yards, 2 TDs, and no INTs in Sunday's lopsided win over the Eagles. Tampa Bay dropped Mayfield back 51 times vs. just 24 designed run plays despite jumping out to a 24-0 lead by the middle of the second quarter. That indicates a plan to target the Philly secondary -- and it worked. The QB added a 1-yard rushing score early in the second quarter.
Mayfield will finish among the top 12 fantasy QBs for the third time in four weeks, regardless of how the remaining three games of the week play out.
He's completing passes at a career-high rate, a season after setting his career high in completion rate.
I wouldn't say Mayfield has reached weekly starter status in fantasy. But he looks likely to sit among our top 16 most weeks -- and hover around 12th in the QB rankings at times.
He'll be a solid option at Atlanta in Week 5, as fantasy managers hit the first round of byes. Jared Goff, Jalen Hurts, Justin Herbert, and Will Levis have Week 5 byes.
