Dolphins QB Tua Tagovailoa has been placed on Injured Reserve after the concussion that he suffered on Thursday Night Football against the Buffalo Bills. Tagovailoa will miss at least the next four games and may miss more.
Adam Schefter of ESPN: "Dolphins are placing QB Tua Tagovailoa on injured reserve, per source. He now will be out a minimum of four games."
With Tagovailoa being out at least four games, the entire Dolphins offense takes a hit as they turn to QB Skylar Thompson. Thompson showed his propensity to check the ball down when he entered the game on Thursday.
There will likely be some scheming open of WR Tyreek Hill, but expectations should be held in check for the electric WR. WR Jaylen Waddle may suffer the most playing on the outside of the formation.
Questions surround Tagovailoa's future after suffering his third concussion in the NFL. There have been calls for him to retire, but it appears he will be trying to make a return.
It is very possible he's held out for more than four games to ensure 100% health and safety for the QB, especially after the Dolphins gave him a large long term contract.
