Dolphins RB De'Von Achane suffered an ankle injury against the Jaguars in Week 1 and appears headed to be game-time decision on Thursday Night Football against the Bills. With RB Raheem Mostert already out, RBs Jeffrey Wilson Jr. and Jaylen Wright will both have increased touches in Week 2.
Marcel Louis-Jacques of ESPN: "Dolphins RB Raheem Mostert (chest) is OUT for Thursday's game vs the Bills, per Mike McDaniel
RB De'Von Achane will be a game-time decision"
Achane had a great opening game against the Jaguars in Week 1, but he ended the game injuring his ankle, putting Week 2 in doubt.
HC Mike McDaniel commented that it would be a game-time decision for Achane on whether he would play on the short week.
With Mostert out, Achane would have had a golden opportunity for a ton of touches, but now, even if he is active, temper expectations as there could be management of his workload.
The biggest beneficiaries are Wilson who was the third RB for the Dolphins in Week 1, but Wright is our "Grab this Guy" in our Waiver Wire Pickups.
Wright has the opportunity to break out here and have a major role moving forward.
Keep an eye on Shark Bites on Thursday as we find out Achane's status for the game.
