Cowboys QB Dak Prescott threw for just 179 yards and 1 TD in Sunday's 33-17 victory at Cleveland. He completed 19 of 32 passes while taking three sacks. He started stronger, with 156 yards and the scoring toss to WR Brandin Cooks before halftime but went quiet in the second half.

The Browns finished last season as the fourth-toughest scoring matchup for QBs. And Prescott produced much bigger numbers at home than on the road.
Those two factors -- plus Vegas' low projected team total for the game -- led us to project Prescott outside starter range among Week 1 QBs.
He heads back home for matchups with the Saints and Ravens the next two weeks and figures to sit higher in our weekly rankings. Prescott also looks good for a Week 4 visit to the Giants and a Week 6 home date with the Lions.
In between, he might be sittable for a trip to Pittsburgh. We'll evaluate that spot as it gets closer and we get more data from this season.
We'll also see how long TE Jake Ferguson's Week 1 knee injury might keep him out. That would remove a key target. Ferguson ranked second among Cowboys in targets, receptions, and receiving yards last season.
