Pitts caught all three of his targets for 26 yards and the only TD of the entire game against the Steelers. QB Kirk Cousins only completed 16 passes in the game, and Pitts was fairly quiet after his TD catch.
Pitts finding the end zone is great for his fantasy week and the game plan to actually utilize his talents in the spot where they can work best, but only drawing three targets in a close game is a bit of a head scratcher still.
It was a dog fight in the trenches for most of the game, thus leading to a game with one entire TD in the whole game, and that one went to Pitts.
He will likely have to continue finding the end zone or making a big play after the catch to put up big numbers, as the volume may not be there. He tied for third on the team in targets behind WR Ray Ray McCloud and RB Bijan Robinson.
Next week, the Falcons draw the Eagles who gave up a handful of receptions to Packers TE Tucker Kraft this past week. It could be a good spot for Cousins to settle in and have a more successful day.
If the passing game is better, Pitts should earn more targets and hopefully find the end zone again.
