Packers QB Jordan Love has been diagnosed with a sprained MCL, according to NFL Network's Ian Rapoport. There's no damage to Love's ACL. It's relatively good news, but Rapoport confirms that Love "should miss some time." We'll look for a timetable for his return.
Love is worth keeping stashed on all fantasy rosters for now. Depending on the severity of the MCL sprain, he might end up just missing a game or two. A more serious sprain could cost him a month or more.
Love's absence will certainly be felt by Green Bay's offense, though. Backup QB Malik Willis was a major disappointment across two seasons in Tennessee and just joined the Packers a couple of weeks ago.
Expect a conservative, run-leaning attack from Green Bay for as long as Love is out. It'll be tough to trust any of the team's pass-catchers in fantasy lineups. RB Josh Jacobs should see strong volume with Willis at the helm, but his efficiency and TD upside will suffer.
