Steelers RB Jaylen Warren is expected to miss "multiple weeks" with the hamstring injury he suffered in Saturday's preseason game vs. the Bills, according to NFL Network's Tom Pelissero. Pittsburgh's season-opener is three weeks away, and Pelissero confirms that Warren's availability for Week 1 is "in doubt."
We'll look for a firmer timeline for Warren's return and track his rehab closely. But, for now, we're knocking one game off of his 2024 projections. He'll also carry some re-injury risk when he does get back on the field. Hamstrings can be tricky.
Warren's absence would likely turn RB Najee Harris into a workhorse for the Steelers. We could also see RB Cordarrelle Patterson pick up extra snaps, although he'd still be unlikely to be a fantasy asset.
Warren falls from 25th to 28th in the PPR RB Rankings. Harris climbs from 27th to 26th.
