Ravens TE Isaiah Likely has had a "fantastic" training camp, HC John Harbaugh said this week. The Athletic's Jeff Zrebiec notes that, while TE Mark Andrews leads the team in camp receptions, "Likely isn't far behind."
More Harbaugh on Likely: “He’s been spectacular with the route-running details. I feel like the timing has been fantastic with him. He’s just a very special athlete, comes to work every day ready to go to work. We’re really proud of him, and we’ll keep going.”
OC Todd Monken: “You’ve seen other things in his game, particularly in line, that we’ve asked him to do. So, we expect him to have a great year.”
We know that Likely is a good bet for TE1 production if Andrews misses time. Over the final seven meaningful games of last season (playoffs included) without Andrews, Likely averaged:
His 11.9 PPR points per game over that stretch would have ranked eighth among TEs on the season.
Likely, though, has not proven capable of being a fantasy asset with a healthy Andrews. He averaged just 0.9 catches and 9.4 yards in Andrews' nine full games last year. Likely didn't play more than 35% of Baltimore's offensive snaps in any of those games.
There's been a steady buzz on Likely this offseason, but we remain skeptical that he can produce fantasy-relevant numbers alongside Andrews. The Ravens are thin at WR, but this will remain a run-leaning offense -- maybe even run-heavier this year with RB Derrick Henry.
Likely is overpriced at his TE19 ADP.
Nobody likes an old receiver in dynasty. And that's exactly what makes Davante Adams an attractive trade target. We'll talk him and five other guys you should buy or sell.
