Seahawks TE Noah Fant left the field midway through practice today and did not return. HC Mike Macdonald did not meet with the media after practice, so there has been no official word on his injury.
Fant signed a two-year $21 million contract this offseason as the Seahawks transition under Macdonald and new OC Ryan Grubb.
With TEs Will Dissly and Colby Parkinson signing elsewhere, Fant has an opportunity to get a full workload as the primary TE in a new pass friendly offense.
Fant has been one of our potential sleepers at the TE position as a potential value.
If he did get hurt today at practice and is out for the rest of camp, it could be a setback in learning the new offense and being fully integrated into the new offense.
This report by Brady Henderson of ESPN did not confirm that Fant's absence was necessarily an injury and no other beat reporter saw an injury happen on the field.
Hopefully, it is very minor or not an injury at all.
We will provide updates as more is known about Fant and his potential injury. There will likely be more information tomorrow when the media asks the Seahawks coaching staff.
