Per beat writer Zac Jackson, the Browns view WR Jerry Jeudy as “dangerous on quick throws out of the slot.” Jeudy ran 59.1% of his routes out of the slot last season; 52.5% for his career.
Jackson also pointed out Jeudy’s “impressive top-end speed” in training camp. It’s especially noteworthy with the former Bronco coming back from a minor leg injury.
Here’s more from Jackson:
“A large part of the team’s thinking in acquiring the receiver was that with Pro Bowl tight end David Njoku and Jeudy able to line up across the formation, [QB Deshaun] Watson would be able to pick out mismatches and hit short, safe throws to both pass catchers that could occasionally turn into big plays."
Head to the fantasy WR rankings, and you’ll see Jeudy pegged for fringe top-50 numbers.
Nick Chubb’s return from a major knee injury and the hiring of OC Ken Dorsey signal more passing in 2024. But will the efficiency improve? Deshaun Watson is a major wild card, and his play will drive Jeudy’s ability to provide WR3/FLEX totals.
For now, the 25-year-old is best treated as a WR4 stash.
