Rams WR Cooper Kupp (Ankle) is believed to be "all the way back," per ESPN's Jeremy Fowler. He also said the Rams offense clearly "runs through Kupp". A fully healthy Kupp.
Jeremy Fowler: [Kupp is] on an absolute mission this season". "Kupp was deeply affected about not being available for parts of last year."
Kupp took a backseat to rookie WR Puka Nacua last season, but the 31-year old appears to be in line to go back to his old role in HC Sean McVay's offense.
The offense running through Kupp would mean more targets and scripted plays going his way.
Kupp was our Comeback player in 2021 and we are higher on him than his current Round 4 ADP.
From 2019-2022, Kupp averaged 101.5 receptions along with 1,223.5 receiving yards and 8.75 receiving TDs a season.
Even if he can replicate 80% of those averages, Kupp would likely be a WR1 for the season.
Though the Rams can certainly support two top-15 WRs, a big role for Kupp could lead to Nacua not meeting the expectations of his current ADP in the top 15 of redraft leagues.
But, if Kupp deals with injuries again this season, Nacua will become the focal point of the offense.
