Jordan Love and the Packers have agreed to a 4-year extension worth $220 million with a record-setting $75 million signing bonus and $155 million in new full guarantees. Love will now be under contract in Green Bay until 2028. This ties Love with Joe Burrow and Trevor Lawrence for the highest annual salary in league history at $55 million.
The major impact for 2024 is getting Love to camp to work with his young WRs.
Love was not practicing until the contract is signed. That is behind him now.
Ultimately, his value for this year does not change, but having the contract settled allows Love to get back to work and continue developing rapport with his offense.
The extension is excellent news for dynasty owners.
Love will remain with one of the best head coaches in the league in Matt LaFleur. The excellent offensive system should allow Love to continue producing like he did in the second half of 2023.
Love was fifth in fantasy points per game last year and is now locked up in that same offense.
The extension stabilizes the value and potential of Love‘s weapons like Christian Watson and Jayden Reed.
