Chicago Bears Fantasy Football News | Shark Bites

Shark Bites are the latest fantasy football news & NFL updates. Draft Sharks has been in business since 1999. And when we started, redraft was the dominant form of fantasy football. Check out what we've learned about this most basic form of fantasy football along the way.

Lions RB D’Andre Swift "wasn’t using his left arm much" in the locker room after Sunday's loss to the Vikings, according to insider Dave Birkett. "Looked like he might have got treatment on his shoulder," Birkett adds. We'll look for an update on Swift on Monday and track his practice participation this week.

Chargers WR Keenan Allen (hamstring) is inactive for today’s game vs. the Jaguars. We’ll see if he can make it back for Week 4. WR Josh Palmer will again replace Allen today.

Lions RB D'Andre Swift (ankle) is active for today’s game vs. the Vikings. He got in just 2 limited practices this week and was listed as questionable. But HC Dan Campbell said Wednesday that Swift's ankle was "feeling much better." And NFL Network's Tom Pelissero reported this morning that Swift is expected to play a "bigger role" today than he did when he was limited to 7 touches last week.

NFL Network's Tom Pelissero confirms that Lions RB D'Andre Swift (ankle) will play vs. the Vikings today. Pelissero adds that Swift is expected to play a "bigger role" in that one after being limited to just 7 touches in Week 2. He belongs in fantasy lineups as a RB1 with upside in today's plus matchup.

ESPN's Adam Schefter reports that Chargers WR Keenan Allen (hamstring) "would like to try and play, but it's not certain he will." Allen was limited in practice on Wednesday and Thursday but sidelined on Friday. Between his hamstring injury and QB Justin Herbert's rib issue, Allen is a risky Week 3 fantasy option. We won't get the Chargers' inactives until a little after 2:30 pm ET.

Chargers WR Keenan Allen (hamstring) is listed as questionable for this weekend's game vs. the Jaguars. Like QB Justin Herbert, Allen went from limited practices on Wednesday and Thursday to no practice on Friday. HC Brandon Staley on Friday afternoon labeled Allen "50/50" to play against Jacksonville. We'll look for further updates on his status, but this game doesn't kick off until 4:05 pm ET on Sunday.

Lions RB D'Andre Swift (ankle) is listed as questionable for this weekend's game vs. the Vikings. He got in limited practices on Thursday and Friday after sitting out Wednesday. HC Dan Campbell said Wednesday that Swift's ankle was "feeling much better." We're fully expecting Swift to play on Sunday -- and for him to get much closer to a full workload than he did in Week 2.

Chargers WR Keenan Allen (hamstring) got in his 2nd straight limited practice on Thursday. He's trending toward returning for this weekend's game vs. the Jaguars, but we'll get another update on his status tomorrow.

Lions RB D'Andre Swift (ankle) returned to a limited practice on Thursday. He'll play vs. the Vikings this weekend. The question is if he'll be ready for something closer to a full workload than he got last week. We'll see what Swift does in Friday's practice and how he's listed on the final injury report.

Chargers WR Keenan Allen (hamstring) got in a limited practice on Wednesday. It gives him a shot to return for this weekend's game vs. the Jaguars, but we'll continue to keep an eye on his progress over the next few days.

Lions HC Dan Campbell said Wednesday that RB D'Andre Swift's ankle is "feeling much better" this week than last. Swift won't practice on Wednesday, so he's clearly still not at 100%. But we're tentatively expecting something much closer to a full workload in this weekend's game vs. the Vikings.

Bears TE Cole Kmet failed to record a catch in a Week 2 loss at Green Bay. His lone target was dropped. That means that through 2 weeks, the young TE has a grand total of 2 targets…for 0 yards. He’s also outside the top-30 TEs in routes run (31). In theory, opportunities should come in a thin Bears passing game that'll likely continue playing from behind. But we’d have to see some signs of life from Kmet before considering him anything close to a TE streamer. He gets Houston at home in Week 3.

Panthers WR D.J. Moore tallied 3 grabs for 43 yards and 1 score in a Week 1 loss to the Giants. Moore saw a less-than-thrilling 20.6% target share on a day that turned up only 29 Baker Mayfield passes. Fortunately, Moore scored on an end zone target that found him dusting the CB. Through 2 games, Moore’s oddly posted a pair of games with 6 targets, 3 catches and 43 yards. Moore needs Baker Mayfield — and Carolina’s pass blocking — to improve dramatically if he’s to have a chance at reaching his upside.

Lions RB D'Andre Swift got just 7 touches in Sunday's game, after arriving questionable with an ankle issue. Fortunately -- for those who started him -- Swift used a 50-yard scamper to run up 56 ground yards on just 5 carries. He added a 22-yard TD off a screen pass, 1 of just 2 receptions (for 31 yards) among 5 targets. Swift played just 10 more snaps than Jamaal Williams, according to Pro Football Focus, a smaller gap than Week 1. Williams led the team with 12 carries. RB Craig Reynolds also played 9 snaps after seeing no Week 1 action. We'll see about the status of Swift's ankle for Week 3.

Lions RB D’Andre Swift (ankle) is active for today’s game vs. the Commanders. He played through this injury last week but only got in a limited practice on Friday this week. NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport said this morning that the Lions “may have to be selective about his usage” today. See where Swift sits in the Week 2 RB Rankings.

NFL Network's Ian Rapoport hears that Lions RB D'Andre Swift (ankle) is expected to play vs. the Commanders today. "But the team may have to be selective about his usage," Rapoport adds. Swift only got in a limited practice this week and is listed as questionable. But it's worth noting that he reportedly suffered this ankle injury in the 2nd quarter of last week's game. He was able to play, and play well, the rest of the way. Swift obviously carries more risk than usual this week, but we'd lean toward keeping him in starting lineups. RB Jamaal Williams will pick up more work if Swift is limited today.

Lions RB D’Andre Swift (ankle) is listed as questionable for this weekend’s game vs. the Commanders. He only got in a limited practice on Friday, but Swift reportedly played through this injury last week and is expected to play on Sunday. The ankle adds at least a little downside, though. Detroit will also be without C Frank Ragnow (groin, foot) and RG Halapoulivaati Vaitai (back), while LG Jonah Jackson (finger) is listed as questionable after missing practice on Thursday and Friday.

Lions RB D'Andre Swift (ankle) missed his 2nd straight practice on Thursday. Reports on his availability for this weekend's game vs. the Commanders remain positive, but we'll see what he's able to do Friday and how he's listed on the final injury report. RB Jamaal Williams would turn into a strong fantasy play if Swift misses Sunday's game.

Lions RB D'Andre Swift expressed no concern about his ankle injury, despite missing practice on Wednesday. Swift said he rolled his ankle in the 2nd quarter of the loss to the Eagles, per the Detroit Free Press' Dave Birkett, but said, "not at all" when asked if he's concerned about it going forward. It's worth noting that the Lions promoted RB Justin Jackson from the practice squad, which might suggest at least some concern about Swift's availability. We'll see if he's able to practice on Thursday.

Lions RB D'Andre Swift missed Wednesday's practice with an ankle injury. He didn't appear limited at all during Sunday's loss to the Eagles. We'll see about the severity of the ailment. Jamaal Williams would be in for a big workload boost if Swift misses time.
