Shark Bites are the latest fantasy football news & NFL updates. Draft Sharks has been in business since 1999. And when we started, redraft was the dominant form of fantasy football. Check out what we've learned about this most basic form of fantasy football along the way.
Lions RB D'Andre Swift (ankle, shoulder) put in a full week of practice and isn’t listed on the final injury report for Sunday’s game vs. the Giants. Be careful, though. Swift was in the same boat heading into Week 8 before tallying just 5 carries and 5 targets in a loss to Miami. He seemed to admit on Friday that he’s still not at 100%. Swift remains a shaky fantasy play until we see his volume grow.
Bears TE Cole Kmet (thigh) is not listed on the final injury report. He got in a full practice on Friday after opening the week with a no practice and a limited practice. Kmet should be ready for his usual role vs. the Falcons on Sunday.
Lions RB D'Andre Swift seemed to admit on Friday that he's still not at 100%. “Kind of pushing through right now, still dealing with stuff but at the end of the day it’s about winning, making sure I’m out there doing my job whenever my number’s called," Swift told ESPN. He added that his best football is “most definitely” ahead this year. But Swift remains a risky fantasy play until we see his snaps and touches climb.
Bears TE Cole Kmet (thigh) returned to a limited practice on Thursday. That should have him on track to play vs. the Falcons this weekend, but check back tomorrow for another update.
Chargers TE Gerald Everett (groin) got in a limited practice on Wednesday. It's encouraging news after he was knocked out early in Sunday night's loss to the 49ers -- and seemingly gives Everett a solid chance to play vs. the Chiefs this Sunday night. We'll update his status again tomorrow.
Lions RB D'Andre Swift (ankle, shoulder) was a full participant in Wednesday's practice. It's an upgrade over his limited participation last Wednesday. Swift seems to be trending in the right direction but remains a risky fantasy play until we actually see him get ample volume on a Sunday.
Bears TE Cole Kmet (thigh) did not practice on Wednesday. We don't have any other details on the issue but haven't heard any concern about Kmet's availability for this weekend's game vs. the Falcons. Check back tomorrow for another update on his status.
Chargers HC Brandon Staley labeled TE Gerald Everett "day to day" with the groin injury he suffered in the loss to the 49ers. Staley added that Everett is expected to practice at some point this week, which seemingly gives him a chance to be available for Sunday night's game vs. the Chiefs. We'll track Everett's status throughout the week.
Chargers TE Gerald Everett is questionable to return to Sunday night's game vs. the 49ers with a groin injury. With TE Donald Parham on IR, Los Angeles is down to TE Tre McKitty.
Bears TE Cole Kmet caught 4 balls for 74 yards and 2 TDs in Sunday's narrow loss to the Lions. He drew a team-high 7 targets and accounted for the Bears' only 2 receiving scores, including 1 from 50 yards out. WR Darnell Mooney was the only other Chicago player to catch more than 1 ball. Mooney snagged all 4 of his targets for 57 yards. Atlanta presents a positive fantasy-scoring matchup for all aspects of the Bears offense in Week 11.
Lions RB D'Andre Swift continued to see limited work in Sunday's narrow victory over the Bears. He carried just 6 times for 6 yards but scored a 9-yard TD to boost his fantasy day. (That means, of course, that his other 5 rushes combined to lose 3 yards.) Swift added just 1 reception among 3 targets in a game that found only 3 Lions catching multiple passes. RB Jamaal Williams led the backfield once again with 16 carries for 59 yards and a TD. Justin Jackson claimed the backfield's other 3 targets, catching 2 for 14 yards. Swift declined to speak with the media last week and was reportedly angry with his low level of usage. We'll see if HC Dan Campbell reveals any change to his plan heading into next Sunday's visit to the Giants.
Bills LB Tremaine Edmunds (groin, heel) is active for today's game against the Vikings. He carries some risk after putting in just 1 limited practice this week but is available for IDP use.
Bills LB Tremaine Edmunds (groin, heel) is questionable for Sunday's game against the Vikings. He put in just a limited Friday practice this week. LB Matt Milano is off the final injury report after finishing the week with a pair of full practices.
Lions RB D'Andre Swift (ankle, shoulder) is not listed on the final Week 10 injury report. He was a full-go in Friday’s practice after being limited the previous 2 days. That’s an improvement over last week – but it’s worth remembering that Swift was a full participant in all 3 practices leading up to Week 8, before getting just 5 carries and 5 targets. It’s certainly possible that Swift’s volume grows this weekend vs. the Bears, but he remains a low-floor fantasy play.
Chargers WR Keenan Allen (hamstring) remained sidelined on Thursday. He's a big long shot to play vs. the 49ers this weekend, again leaving Josh Palmer and DeAndre Carter as Los Angeles' top 2 WRs.
Lions RB D'Andre Swift (ankle, shoulder) remained limited in Thursday's practice. He's fully expected to play vs. the Bears this weekend, but it certainly doesn't look like he'll be ready for a full workload.
Bills LB Tremaine Edmunds (groin, heel), S Jordan Poyer (elbow) and EDGE Gregory Rousseau (ankle) all missed practice Wednesday. HC Sean McDermott called Edmunds and Poyer day-to-day afterward but deemed Rousseau week-to-week. That indicates Rousseau isn't likely to play Sunday against the Vikings. We'll see about the other 2. McDermott added that whether CB Tre'Davious White (ACL recovery) will be ready to play this week also remains a "day to day" situation.
Chargers WR Keenan Allen (hamstring) remained sidelined for Wednesday's practice. HC Brandon Staley called him "day to day," but don't count on Allen returning for Sunday night's game vs. the 49ers.
Lions RB D'Andre Swift (ankle, shoulder) put in a limited practice on Wednesday. That's an improvement from last week, when Swift did not practice at all on Wednesday. We'll continue to monitor Swift's health over the next few days, leading up to Sunday's game vs. the Bears.
Panthers WR D.J. Moore mustered only 24 yards on 6 targets in Sunday’s blowout loss to Cincinnati. P.J. Walker was benched at halftime, which brought Baker Mayfield back into the starting role. Moore’s dud ended a streak of 2 straight games with 19+ PPR points. Walker will start Thursday’s game against Atlanta, a rematch of Week 8. Moore popped off for 6-152-1 in that one.
