Shark Bites are the latest fantasy football news & NFL updates. Draft Sharks has been in business since 1999. And when we started, redraft was the dominant form of fantasy football. Check out what we've learned about this most basic form of fantasy football along the way.
Patriots RB Damien Harris exited in the 4th quarter of Sunday's win over the Panthers with a head injury. We haven't heard whether he's been diagnosed with a concussion. We should learn more about Harris' status on Monday.
Bills TE Dawson Knox (hand) is out for Sunday's game vs. the Jaguars. Week 10 has been Knox's expected return target all along, so this doesn't come as a surprise. TE Tommy Sweeney ran a route on 75% of Buffalo's pass plays last week, posting a 3-30 line on 4 targets. He's in play for desperate fantasy owners.
ESPN's Adam Schefter reports that the Broncos are trading OLB Von Miller to the Rams for a pair fo 2nd-day draft picks. Miller missed Sunday's game against Washington with an ankle injury, but this move clearly indicates that the Rams aren't too worried about that issue going forward. With the Rams, Miller should immediately take over the starting job opposite Leonard Floyd, which had been manned by a committee. Denver started Malik Reed and Jonathon Cooper at the EDGE spots vs. Washington on Sunday and figure to roll with that duo until Bradley Chubb returns from IR. It's an obvious upgrade for a Rams team D that has already been strong in fantasy, and a downgrade for a Broncos unit that has fallen way off vs. its positive start to the year.
Broncos EDGE Von Miller (ankle) is inactive for today's game against Washington. That leaves a struggling Denver defense without 1 of its top players.
Broncos OLB Von Miller (ankle) is questionable for Sunday's game against Washington. He missed practice all week, though, despite the longer break after playing Thursday night in Week 7. It was reported after he got hurt in Cleveland that Miller appeared likely to miss team. We'd try to not use him in IDP lineups this week even if active.
Bills TE Dawson Knox (hand) is out for Sunday’s game vs. the Dolphins. TE Tommy Sweeney will be atop the depth chart for this one but would be a total flier in fantasy lineups.
Washington WRs Curtis Samuel (groin) and Dyami Brown (knee) are out for Sunday’s game vs. the Broncos. WR Cam Sims (hamstring) is listed as questionable. Terry McLaurin, of course, is the only Washington WR that should be in fantasy lineups.
Bills TE Dawson Knox had surgery on his broken hand and is expected to miss 3 weeks, according to NFL Network's Mike Garafolo. Knox has a Week 7 bye, meaning that he should just miss the next 2 games vs. Miami and Jacksonville and return for Week 10. TE Tommy Sweeney is next up on Buffalo's depth chart but is unlikely to be a fantasy factor. WRs Stefon Diggs, Emmanuel Sanders and Cole Beasley should pick up extra targets with Knox out.
Broncos OLB Von Miller hurt his left ankle in the 1st half of Thursday night's game against the Browns. He's questionable to return.
Update: The team has now ruled Miller out for the game.
Bills TE Dawson Knox broke a bone in his hand in Monday night's loss to the Titans, NFL Network's Mike Garafolo reports. "Timeline TBD but the hope is he won’t miss much time, especially with the bye," Garafolo adds. Knox owners should plan on him missing some time beyond that Week 7 bye, but we'll continue to look for updates on his timeline for return.
Bills TE Dawson Knox left early in the 4th quarter of Monday night's game at Tennessee with a hand injury. ESPN reported that he hurt the hand before throwing a 2-point conversion pass to Josh Allen, but went through with the play anyway. Knox is questionable to return.
Broncos S Kareem Jackson (back) is active for today’s game against the Raiders
Patriots RB Damien Harris (ribs) is active for today’s game vs. the Cowboys. He got in limited practices on Thursday and Friday and was listed as questionable on the final injury report. Between the rib injury and last week’s goal-line fumble, Harris is a risky fantasy play today. Rookie RB Rhamondre Stevenson could play an expanded role. RB J.J. Taylor is a healthy scratch again today.
"There is optimism" Patriots RB Damien Harris (ribs) plays vs. the Cowboys today, per NFL Network's Ian Rapoport. "Not certain yet, but some good feelings," Rapoport adds. Harris got in 2 limited practices this week after being knocked out of last Sunday's win over the Texans. Between the injury and last week's fumble, Harris looks like a risky fantasy option today.
Bills LB Matt Milano finished the week with a full practice Saturday and carries no game status into Monday night against the Titans. That's noteworthy after he missed the Week 5 contest in Kansas City with a hamstring injury. Assuming Milano gets back to full playing time, he carries plenty of upside against a Titans offense that has supplied the 2nd most fantasy points to LBs so far.
Broncos S Kareem Jackson (back) is questionable for Sunday's game against the Raiders. We'll check his status Sunday afternoon.
Patriots RB Damien Harris (ribs) is listed as questionable for this weekend's game vs. the Cowboys. He got in limited practices on Thursday and Friday. Besides the rib injury, Harris also lost a goal-line fumble last week. It all has his Week 6 role a bit uncertain. If Harris doesn't play on Sunday, rookie Rhamondre Stevenson would be the favorite for lead-back duties.
Washington WR Curtis Samuel (groin) is out for Sunday's game vs. the Chiefs. He appears to be looking at another multi-week absence. WR Cam Sims (hamstring) has also been ruled out. WR Dyami Brown (knee) is listed as questionable after a limited week of practice. With WR Terry McLaurin (hamstring) also questionable, Adam Humphries, Deandre Carter and Dax Milne are Washington's only healthy WRs. It's obviously a concern for QB Taylor Heinicke.
Patriots RB Damien Harris (ribs) returned to a limited practice on Thursday. It gives him a shot to play vs. the Cowboys this weekend. Check back tomorrow for another update on Harris.
Patriots RB Damien Harris (ribs) did not practice on Wednesday. He never re-entered last week's game after hurting his ribs and is seemingly in danger of missing Sunday's game vs. the Cowboys. That'd likely put rookie RB Rhamondre Stevenson in a lead ball-carrying role. We'll get another update on Harris tomorrow.
