Tampa Bay Buccaneers Fantasy Football News | Shark Bites

Shark Bites are the latest fantasy football news & NFL updates. Draft Sharks has been in business since 1999. And when we started, redraft was the dominant form of fantasy football. Check out what we've learned about this most basic form of fantasy football along the way.

Giants WR Sterling Shepard (quad) remained sidelined on Friday. He's a long shot to play vs. the Bucs on Monday night.

Giants WR Sterling Shepard (quad) did not practice on Thursday. He seems unlikely to play vs. the Bucs on Monday night, but we'll see if he gets on the practice field tomorrow or Saturday.

Browns QB Baker Mayfield did not practice on Wednesday. He's on the injury report with "left shoulder, foot, knee." Mayfield is expected to start this weekend's game vs. the Lions, but he'll be doing so at far less than 100%.

Browns HC Kevin Stefanski labeled QB Baker Mayfield "day to day" with the knee contusion he suffered in Sunday's loss to the Patriots. Further testing on Monday revealed no structural damage to that right knee. Mayfield figures to be ready for this weekend's game vs. the Lions, but we'll monitor his status throughout the week.

Browns HC Kevin Stefanski expects QB Baker Mayfield (knee) to play Week 11. He said Mayfield is dealing with a knee contusion and could have gone back in the game vs. New England. Mayfield said afterward that x-rays on his right knee came back clean. He labeled himself "day to day." We'll keep an eye on him this coming week.

Browns QB Baker Mayfield suffered a knee injury in the 3rd quarter of Sunday's game vs. New England. He's officially questionable to return, but QB Case Keenum is now in the game. We'll update Mayfield's status when we know more.

Bucs WR Chris Godwin (foot) is active for today’s game vs. Washington. He only got in a limited practice on Friday, but the news on Godwin has been positive for the past 24 hours. He still comes with elevated risk in Week 10 fantasy lineups. But there’s also big upside here vs. the league’s worst WR defense.

Bucs WR Chris Godwin (foot) is expected to play vs. Washington today, according to NFL Network's Ian Rapoport. That matches The Athletic's Greg Auman's report from Saturday. The question remains how big an issue that foot will be. Godwin got in just 1 limited practice this week despite having the bye week to heal up.

The Bucs expect to have WR Chris Godwin (foot) for Sunday's game against Washington, according to The Athletic's Greg Auman. Godwin only got in a limited practice on Friday after hurting his foot in Tampa's last game, prior to the Week 9 bye. We'll look for additional updates on his status tomorrow morning. There's still a chance that he's limited and/or suffers an in-game setback. The matchup is sweet, though, vs. the 32nd-ranked WR defense.

The Cardinals have placed RB Chase Edmonds on IR for his high-ankle sprain. We already knew he'd miss this week and was expected to miss multiple games. He's still reportedly expected to return, but it's not yet clear whether Arizona expects to get him back after the mandatory 3-game absence. James Conner takes over the backfield in Edmonds' absence, with Eno Benjamin behind him.

Update: The Cardinals are also adding RB Tavien Feaster to the roster, with Edmonds out.

Cardinals RB Chase Edmonds (ankle) is out for Sunday’s game vs. the Panthers. He’ll likely miss multiple weeks with his high-ankle sprain. James Conner should get a heavy workload this weekend, making him a borderline RB1. Eno Benjamin will be Arizona’s #2 RB.

Bucs WR Chris Godwin (foot) is listed as questionable for this weekend’s game vs. Washington. He only got in a limited practice on Friday. "We'll see how he is tomorrow," HC Bruce Arians said Friday. "He looked OK today but we'll see how he is tomorrow. ... [He did] just enough to look OK. We'll see how he is." Arians labeled Godwin a game-time decision. The good news is that we’ll get his game status around 11:30 am ET. Godwin will obviously carry elevated risk if he ends up active. If not, WR Tyler Johnson will be a viable Week 10 spot starter.

Bucs HC Bruce Arians labeled WR Chris Godwin a game-time decision with his foot injury. Arians also revealed that Godwin hurt the foot on a tackle in the loss to the Saints prior to the Week 9 bye. Godwin didn't practice on Wednesday or Thursday, and the Tampa media didn't see him out there for the start of Friday's practice. We'll see how he's listed on the final injury report later today.

Bucs WR Chris Godwin (foot) missed practice again on Thursday. He's in real danger of missing Sunday's game vs. Washington. We'll see if Godwin practices tomorrow and how he's listed on the final injury report.

Cowboys DE Randy Gregory suffered a calf injury in Wednesday's practice that is expected to cost him multiple games, ESPN's Todd Archer reports. HC Mike McCarthy said IR is a possibility. The injury likely means we'll see rookie LB Micah Parsons play more DE while Gregory is out.

Bucs WR Chris Godwin missed Wednesday's practice with a foot injury. HC Bruce Arians didn't provide any other details, only saying that they'll need to "wait and see" on Godwin's Week 10 status. Tampa notably signed WR Breshad Perriman to the practice squad earlier this week after he spent 2019 with the team. We'll get another update on Godwin on Thursday.

The Cardinals believe RB Chase Edmonds suffered a high-ankle sprain in Sunday's win over the 49ers, per NFL Network's Ian Rapoport. Edmonds is scheduled for an MRI on Monday. As Rapoport notes, high-ankle sprains generally keep players sidelined for 4-6 weeks. We'll look for further updates on Edmonds, but James Conner could flirt with RB1 production for however long Edmonds is out. Eno Benjamin will be Arizona's #2 RB.

Cardinals RB Chase Edmonds suffered an ankle injury in the 1st quarter of Sunday's game against the 49ers. He's officially questionable to return. We'll pass along an update when we get one.

Giants WR Sterling Shepard (quad) is out for Sunday’s game against the Raiders. WR Kenny Golladay (hamstring) is listed as questionable after getting in limited practices on Thursday and Friday. Out since Week 5, Golladay would be a risky fantasy play if he ends up active. WR John Ross (quad) is also listed as questionable, while WR Dante Pettis (shoulder) was placed on IR on Friday. Kadarius Toney and Darius Slayton are New York's top 2 healthy WRs.

Giants WR Sterling Shepard is expected to miss "some time" with a quad strain suffered in Monday night's loss to the Chiefs, ESPN's Jordan Raanan reports. We'll look for a more concrete timetable for Shepard's return, but we should at least expect him to miss Sunday's game vs. the Raiders. The Giants then get a Week 10 bye.
