Shark Bites are the latest fantasy football news & NFL updates. Draft Sharks has been in business since 1999. And when we started, redraft was the dominant form of fantasy football. Check out what we've learned about this most basic form of fantasy football along the way.
Titans WR Julio Jones (hamstring) was a full participant in Thursday's practice. He's on track to return for Monday night's game vs. the Bills. Buffalo currently ranks 2nd in adjusted fantasy points allowed to WRs, but Tennessee's passing volume should be up in this game.
Eagles TE Dallas Goedert was not activated from the COVID list and is out for tonight's game vs. the Bucs. We'll see if he can get cleared for Week 7. TE Zach Ertz is a nice target bet tonight with Goedert out and Philly likely to deploy a pass-heavy game plan.
Titans WR Julio Jones (hamstring) got on the practice field on Wednesday. It was an unofficial practice with the Titans playing the Bills on Monday night this week, but it seemingly puts Jones on track to return for that game. We'll get another update on his status tomorrow.
Dolphins WR DeVante Parker (hamstring) did not practice on Wednesday. We'll see if he gets back on the field over the next 2 days, but fantasy owners shouldn't plan on him playing vs. the Jaguars in London this weekend.
Eagles TE Dallas Goedert has been placed on the COVID list. With Philly hosting the Bucs on Thursday night, Goedert seems unlikely to be cleared in time for that one. His absence would turn TE Zach Ertz into a low-level spot-start option.
The "estimate" for Giants RB Saquon Barkley's timetable for return from his sprained ankle is 2-4 weeks, according to NFL Network's Ian Rapoport. Barkley is scheduled for more tests on that ankle on Monday. It's worth noting that the Giants have a Week 10 bye, so if Barkley ends up on the long end of that timetable, we might not see him again until Week 11.
Giants RB Saquon Barkley is believed to have a low-ankle sprain and will "likely" miss next weekend's game vs. the Rams, according to NFL Network's Ian Rapoport. "He’ll have more tests, but he’s best characterized as week-to-week," Rapoport adds. "A fast healer, Barkley will work to miss only one week." We'll look for a more concrete timetable for Barkley's return. Devontae Booker operated as New York's clear lead back after Barkley exited today's game, handling 19 of the 20 RB opportunities.
Giants RB Saquon Barkley was in a walking boot and on crutches after hurting his left ankle in Sunday's loss to the Cowboys. We see this often after a player hurts an ankle, so it doesn't necessarily tell us anything about the severity of the injury. HC Joe Judge said after the game that Barkley got an X-ray on the ankle but gave no other updates. We should learn more tomorrow.
Giants RB Saquon Barkley rolled his left ankle in the 1st quarter of Sunday's game vs. the Cowboys. He didn't put much weight on it as he left the field. Stay tuned for an update.
Update: The Giants have ruled him out for the game.
Dolphins WR DeVante Parker (shoulder, hamstring) is inactive for today’s game vs. the Bucs. With WR Will Fuller also out, Miami is down to WRs Jaylen Waddle, Preston Williams, Albert Wilson and Mack Hollins. Waddle and TE Mike Gesicki are strong target bets today.
ESPN's Jeff Darlington reports that Dolphins WR DeVante Parker won't play vs. the Bucs today. Parker dealt with hamstring tightness late in the week. With WR Will Fuller (finger) also out, Miami is down to WRs Jaylen Waddle, Preston Williams, Albert Wilson and Mack Hollins. Waddle and TE Mike Gesicki are strong target bets today.
The Broncos have placed TE Albert Okwuegbunam on IR with a hamstring injury. He was already ruled out of Sundays game at Pittsburgh. Now he’ll miss at least 2 more beyond that. Okwuegbunam’s absence can only help the target outlook for lead Denver TE Noah Fant
The Broncos have ruled TE Albert Okwuegbunam out for Sunday's game in Pittsburgh. He injured a hamstring in practice Wednesday and then sat out the past 2 days. HC Vic Fangio says the team will "make a decision by Saturday if it's worth putting him on" IR, according to the Denver Post. We'll see about that. Okwuegbunam isn't much of a standalone fantasy option. His absence can only help the target outlook for TE Noah Fant, who already trails Courtland Sutton's team lead by just 1 for the year. With Sutton also questionable for Sunday, Fant carries big target upside into Week 5.
Titans WR A.J. Brown (hamstring) isn’t listed on the final injury report. He practiced all week, including full workouts on Thursday and Friday, so it doesn’t look like we should be concerned about that hamstring.
Dolphins WR DeVante Parker (shoulder, hamstring) is listed as questionable for this weekend's game vs. the Bucs. He was limited early in the week with the shoulder and then dealt with hamstring soreness late in the week. Parker is obviously a risky play if he suits up on Sunday -- although the matchup is good against a banged-up Tampa secondary.
Titans WR Julio Jones (hamstring) is out for Sunday's game vs. the Jaguars. He remained sidelined in practice all week and has no timetable for return.
Dolphins HC Brian Flores said Friday that WR DeVante Parker is dealing with hamstring "soreness" and might be a game-time decision for this weekend's game vs. the Bucs. Parker was limited in Wednesday and Thursday's practices but listed on the injury report with a shoulder. It's unclear when the hamstring trouble started. We'll see how he's listed on Miami's final injury report this afternoon.
Titans WR A.J. Brown (hamstring) graduated to a full practice on Thursday. He's on track to return for this weekend's game vs. the Jaguars -- and should dominate targets with WR Julio Jones still out.
Titans WR Julio Jones (hamstring) remained sidelined on Thursday. He's a long shot to play vs. the Jaguars this weekend.
Titans WR A.J. Brown (hamstring) returned to a limited practice on Wednesday. WR Julio Jones (hamstring), meanwhile, remained sidelined. So Brown seemingly has a better chance to play vs. the Jaguars this weekend. We'll get another update on both guys tomorrow.
