New Orleans Saints Fantasy Football News | Shark Bites

Shark Bites are the latest fantasy football news & NFL updates. Draft Sharks has been in business since 1999. And when we started, redraft was the dominant form of fantasy football. Check out what we've learned about this most basic form of fantasy football along the way.

Saints WR Chris Olave (concussion) is listed as questionable for this weekend's game vs. the Bengals. He was limited in Thursday's practice and a full-go on Friday, so the rookie is trending toward getting cleared in time for Sunday's kickoff. We should get another update on his status by Sunday morning. Olave will be a strong WR2 play if he ends up playing.

Saints WR Chris Olave (concussion) returned to a limited practice on Thursday. He's made some progress through the protocol but still has multiple stages to pass in order to be cleared for Sunday's game vs. the Bengals. We'll get another update on Olave tomorrow.

Saints WR Chris Olave (concussion) did not practice on Wednesday. He has a long way to go to clear the protocol and should be considered unlikely to play vs. the Bengals this weekend. We'll see if Olave is able to get on the field tomorrow.

Cardinals RB Darrel Williams will miss at least this weekend's game vs. the Seahawks with a sprained knee, according to NFL Network's Ian Rapoport. RB James Conner's status for that one is uncertain after he hurt his ribs last week. RB Jonathan Ward (hamstring) is heading to IR, leaving Eno Benjamin and Keaontay Ingram as the healthy RBs on Arizona's active roster. The Cardinals signed Corey Clement and Ty'Son Williams to the practice squad on Tuesday. We'll track this situation over the next few days, but Benjamin has a shot to be a nice Week 6 fantasy play if Conner can't go.

Lions RB Jamaal Williams once again easily led the team in rushing in Sunday's loss to the Patriots, taking 15 carries for 56 yards. Craig Reynolds and Justin Jackson combined for another 9 carries. Reynolds gained 24 yards on 6 rushes while also leading the backfield in routes (17) and targets (3). Jackson garnered 3 carries and 1 target, while also running 1 more route than Williams. Detroit now gets a Week 6 bye, and then RB D'Andre Swift is expected to be ready to return. Expect Williams to remain a rushing factor beyond Swift's return. But he doesn't look like a great bet to own the receiving work if Swift goes down again.

Saints CB Marshon Lattimore left in the 4th quarter of Sunday's game against the Seahawks with an abdominal injury. We'll see about his status leading up to a Week 6 meeting with the Bengals.

Cardinals RB Darrel Williams is questionable to return to Sunday's game vs. the Eagles with a knee injury. RB James Conner left earlier with a rib injury, leaving the backfield to RB Eno Benjamin.

Saints WR Chris Olave sustained a concussion on his 16-yard TD catch in the 3rd quarter of Sunday's game vs. the Seahawks. He's out for the rest of this one. We'll track his progress through the protocol this coming week.

Saints RB Alvin Kamara (ribs) is active for today’s game vs. the Seahawks. He was limited in practice all week and listed as questionable, but Kamara said Wednesday that his injured ribs were feeling better and that he’d play in this one. He has big upside vs. Seattle’s 32nd-ranked RB defense.

ESPN's Adam Schefter confirms that Saints RB Alvin Kamara (ribs) is expected to play vs. the Seahawks today. Kamara is listed as questionable but said on Wednesday that he felt much better this week and would play against Seattle. He carries big upside in this plus matchup.

Saints RB Alvin Kamara (ribs) was limited in practice all week and is listed as questionable for Sunday’s game vs. the Seahawks. Kamara said Wednesday that his injured ribs were feeling better and that he’d play this weekend. Pencil him into fantasy lineups for now – and check back Sunday at 11:30 am ET to make sure he’s active.

Saints RB Alvin Kamara (ribs) put in a limited practice on Wednesday. "Last week was kind of up in the air, didn't go. This week I'm feeling great, healthy, ready to roll," Kamara said. He added that he plans to wear extra protection on those injured ribs. There's elevated risk here with Kamara still not at 100%, but the upside is big in a plus matchup vs. the Seahawks.

Raiders QB Derek Carr managed only 188 yards and 0 TDs in a Week 4 win over Denver. He tallied only 5.6 yards per attempt but added 40 yards on the ground. In total, this passing game proved highly concentrated, with only 5 players receiving targets. Davante Adams led the way with 9-101 on 13 targets. Look for a fantasy bounce-back Monday at Kansas City, especially if Hunter Renfrow (concussion) is able to return.

With D'Andre Swift out, Lions RB Jamaal Williams took over the backfield and racked up a 19-108-2 rushing line in Sunday's loss to the Seahawks. Williams added 1 catch for just 1 yard among 3 targets. Craig Reynolds and Justin Jackson handled just 2 carries apiece. Jackson caught 2 passes -- including a 2-yard TD -- among 2 targets. Reynolds added 1 catch as well. Detroit hasn't confirmed that Swift will miss further game time, but he seems likely to remain out through Week 5.

Saints TE/whatever Taysom Hill found the end zone in Sunday's loss to the Vikings in London. Hill logged 5 rushing attempts in the game and ran 5 routes. His 2-yard rushing score came on his lone carry inside the red zone. Be careful of overrating his 2 rushing scores in 3 appearances.

Chiefs WR Marquez Valdes-Scantling (abdomen) is active for tonight’s game vs. the Bucs. He got in just 2 limited practices this week and probably won’t be at 100% tonight. MVS isn’t a recommended Week 4 fantasy play.

Saints RB Alvin Kamara (ribs) is officially inactive for today's game vs. the Vikings. It's a surprise after he played through this issue last week. Insider Nick Underhill says that Kamara is "looking to get healthy for the long haul." When Kamara missed Week 2, Ingram handled 10 of 16 RB carries and saw 2 targets. He wasn't at 100% for that game, though, and could see a bit more work today. RB Tony Jones is a healthy scratch today, so it's Ingram, Dwayne Washington and Latavius Murray, just called up from the practice squad, in New Orleans' backfield. See where Ingram sits in the Week 4 RB Rankings.

The Saints have ruled RB Alvin Kamara OUT for this morning's game against the Vikings because of his rib injury, according to NFL Network's Stacey Dales -- who said HC Dennis Allen confirmed it. That leaves Mark Ingram as the backfield leader against a Minnesota defense that has been especially soft vs. the run.

Chiefs WR Marquez Valdes-Scantling (abdomen) "plans to play" vs. the Bucs tonight, according to ESPN's Jeremy Fowler. We'd try not to use MVS in season-long fantasy lineups at less than 100%.

Chiefs WR Marquez Valdes-Scantling (abdomen) is questionable for Sunday night’s game vs. the Bucs. He was limited on Wednesday and Friday, sitting out Thursday’s practice. MVS isn’t a recommended Week 4 fantasy play at less than 100%. His absence would free up snaps for WRs Skyy Moore and/or Justin Watson.
