Shark Bites are the latest fantasy football news & NFL updates. Draft Sharks has been in business since 1999. And when we started, redraft was the dominant form of fantasy football. Check out what we've learned about this most basic form of fantasy football along the way.
Packers RB Aaron Jones (hamstring) is active for today's game vs. the Broncos. He was limited in practice all week and listed as questionable, so the hammy is still a concern. Remember that Jones tallied just five carries and two targets when he first tried to return from this injury back in Week 4. The good news is the matchup is excellent against Denver’s 32nd-ranked RB defense. Consider Jones a risk/reward RB2 today.
Rams RB Myles Gaskin is a healthy scratch for today’s game vs. the Steelers. RBs Royce Freeman, Darrell Henderson, and Zach Evans are active. ESPN’s Adam Schefter reported this morning that Freeman and Henderson will get "the majority of the workload” today. See our projections for the Rams backfield.
NFL Network's Mike Garafolo reports that Packers RB Aaron Jones (hamstring) will play vs. the Broncos later today but that the team will monitor his workload. That's not a surprise considering Jones was limited in practice all week and is listed as questionable. Don't expect a huge workload for Jones today, but the matchup vs. Denver's 32nd-ranked RB defense keeps him in the RB2 mix.
Giants QB Daniel Jones (neck) is inactive for today’s game vs. the Commanders. He put in three limited practices this week but still hasn’t been cleared for contact. QB Tyrod Taylor gets another start today.
Packers RB Aaron Jones (hamstring) is expected to play vs. the Broncos today, ESPN's Adam Schefter reports. Jones was limited in practice all week and listed as questionable, despite coming off the bye week. That adds risk to his Week 7 fantasy profile. But the matchup is awesome against Denver's league-worst RB defense. See where Jones sits in the Week 7 RB Rankings.
Giants QB Daniel Jones (neck) is not expected to play vs. the Commanders on Sunday, according to NFL Network. Jones was limited in practice all week but still hasn't been cleared for contact. He's made "positive strides," per NFL Network, and seemingly has a good chance to be back for Week 8. We've been projecting QB Tyrod Taylor to start vs. Washington all week.
Packers RB Aaron Jones (hamstring) was limited in practice all week and is listed as questionable for Sunday's game vs. the Broncos. “He looked pretty good (but) he was limited, so we’ll see how he’s feeling," HC Matt LaFleur said after Friday's practice. It's concerning that Jones is still dealing with hamstring trouble coming off the bye. We'll look for further updates on his status. We won't get Green Bay's inactives until a little before 3 pm ET on Sunday.
Giants QB Daniel Jones (neck) is listed as questionable for this weekend's game vs. the Commanders. He was limited in practice all week, but HC Brian Daboll said Friday morning that Jones still hadn't been cleared for contact. We'll keep you updated on his status, but we're currently projecting QB Tyrod Taylor to start Sunday's game.
Giants QB Daniel Jones (neck) has not yet been cleared for contact, HC Brian Daboll said Thursday. Jones will remain limited at practice today and will obviously need to get that clearance in order to play vs. the Commanders this weekend. We'll keep you updated on his status.
Packers RB Aaron Jones (hamstring) was limited in Wednesday's practice. He should be back for this weekend's game vs. the Broncos, but Jones would be much easier to trust in fantasy lineups if he gets in at least one full practice this week.
Giants QB Daniel Jones (neck) got in a limited practice on Wednesday. It gives him a chance to return for this weekend's game vs. the Commanders. We'll keep tabs on his progress over the next few days.
The Rams are signing RB Myles Gaskin away from Minnesota's practice squad. That means he'll need to join L.A.'s active roster, which should put Gaskin in the mix for playing time Sunday against the Steelers. This, of course, comes on the same day the Rams added Darrell Henderson to their practice squad. We'll continue watching for any further insight into how the team plans to spread backfield work while Kyren Williams is out.
TE T.J. Hockenson led the Vikings in targets (8), receptions (6), and receiving yards (50) in Sunday's win over the Bears. That last number points to how limited the Minnesota offense was for the game, throwing for just 181 yards and running for only 46 more. It did, at least, mark Hockenson's fourth game of 6+ receptions this season and fifth with at least 8 targets. He gets a tough matchup with the 49ers in Week 7 but remains a weekly fantasy starter.
Vikings WR Jordan Addison managed just 3 receptions for 28 yards on 5 targets in the first full game since WR Justin Jefferson's hamstring injury. He saved his fantasy line by snaring Kirk Cousins' only TD pass from 10 yards out in the second quarter. Addison's 5 targets tied for just third on the team, trailing TE T.J. Hockenson and RB Alexander Mattison. A matchup with San Francisco in Week 7 looks tougher for everyone in the Minnesota offense, though it hasn't been especially tough for WRs on the year (slightly positive entering Week 6, according to our adjusted fantasy points allowed).
Giants QB Daniel Jones (neck) is out for tonight's game vs. the Bills. But he has a "legitimate chance" to return for Week 7 against the Commanders, according to NFL Network's Mike Garafolo. We'll track Jones' progress this coming week.
Vikings WR Justin Jefferson is expected to miss 4-6 weeks with his hamstring injury, ESPN's Adam Schefter reports. More specifically, Jefferson will undergo more imaging on that hamstring in four weeks to determine when he can return. Schefter then adds this: "Minnesota needs to help itself in the standings to ensure [Jefferson] will return. ... If the Vikings are unable to remain competitive, Jefferson would be expected to consider the reality that he and the organization did not come to an agreement on a long-term contract extension before this season." It's not the first time that Schefter has suggested that Jefferson might opt to remain out even after he's medically cleared. He's still worth keeping stashed on fantasy benches while we see how this plays out.
Giants QB Daniel Jones (neck) has been ruled out for Sunday night's game vs. the Bills. He didn't practice all week, so it's certainly possible that he misses more time. QB Tyrod Taylor will start on Sunday night for the first time since December 2021. Taylor is a serviceable backup but has little chance behind New York's leaky offensive line. We're considering Taylor just a slight downgrade from Jones for New York's pass-catchers.
Giants QB Daniel Jones (neck) will miss practice again on Thursday, HC Brian Daboll said. The team has tried to sound optimistic about Jones' chances of playing vs. the Bills on Sunday night, but it's looking more and more likely that it'll be QB Tyrod Taylor under center.
Giants QB Daniel Jones is skipping Wednesday's practice. HC Brian Daboll told reporters that Jones' neck is sorer today than in recent days. We'll see how he progresses through the week. But you should be trying to not use Jones in your fantasy lineup even if he's active.
NFL Network's Ian Rapoport says Vikings WR Justin Jefferson (hamstring) "should be able to come back" when first eligible in Week 10. There's been some talk, even from ESPN's Adam Schefter, that Minnesota's record might impact whether Jefferson returns when his four-week stint on the IR is up. It's also worth remembering that Jefferson is still looking for a new contract. That clouds the situation a bit, but there's still a good chance that fantasy owners get Jefferson back in Week 10.
