The Chiefs are trading WR Tyreek Hill to the Dolphins in exchange for the 29th overall pick of this year's draft, plus 2022 2nd- and 4th-round picks and 2023 4th- and 6th-rounders, according to ESPN's Adam Schefter. Hill will reportedly get a contract extension from Miami that will make him among the highest-paid WRs in the league. His fantasy value takes a hit with the move. He goes from QB Patrick Mahomes to QB Tua Tagovailoa and from a pass-heavy offense to what figures to be a more balanced offense under new Dolphins HC Mike McDaniel. Hill remains arguably the most electric playmaker in the NFL, though, and should garner a big target share in Miami. He's still a WR1. The Chiefs, meanwhile, are currently left with WRs JuJu Smith-Schuster, Mecole Hardman, Josh Gordon, Justin Watson, Cornell Powell and Corey Coleman. They figure to add to the group in free agency and/or the draft, but Smith-Schuster and Hardman gets sizable boosts with Hill's departure.
Update: Miami is giving Hill a 4-year, $120 million extension with $72.2 million guaranteed, according to agent Drew Rosenhaus. That $30 million per year puts Hill a couple million ahead of new Raider Davante Adams for highest-paid WR.

The 2 sides have been working on a long-term deal, and Kansas City has reportedly made an offer that would make Hill 1 of the league's highest-paid WRs. But "talks have stalled," Rapoport says. The Dolphins have been among the most interested teams so far, Rapoport adds. We'd be surprised if the Chiefs let Hill get away but will certainly keep a close eye on the situation. In likely related news, Kansas City is hosting free-agent WR Marquez Valdes-Scantling on Wednesday.

NFL Network's Ian Rapoport reports that the Dolphins are expected to sign RB Raheem Mostert. The veteran RB, of course, played under new Miami HC Mike McDaniel in San Francisco, where McDaniel spent 2021 as OC after 4 seasons as run-game coordinator. We'll see about the plan for Mostert in a backfield that has already added RB Chase Edmonds in free agency. Mostert is going in the late rounds of early best-ball drafting, which gives him upside at a low-risk price. ESPN's Adam Schefter reports it's a 1-year, $3.25 million deal.
The Browns are re-signing LB Anthony Walker on a 1-year, $5 million deal, according to ESPN's Adam Schefter. That's not a guaranteed-starter level of commitment, but it points to Walker likely remaining in the 2022 lineup. His 2021 playing time dipped later in the year after 2nd-round pick Jeremiah Owusu-Koramoah emerged as a starter. Walker looks like a LB4-level IDP option for 2022 fantasy football drafts.
The Saints have agreed with S Marcus Maye to a 3-year, $28.5 million deal with $15 million guaranteed. With Malcolm Jenkins still under contract, Maye looks like the replacement for Marcus Williams. That's a downward move for his IDP value, as Williams posted weak tackle numbers in New Orleans.
EPSN's Adam Schefter reports that WR Braxton Berrios is resigning with the Jets for $12 million over 2 years, with $7 million of that guaranteed. It's $4 million more than WR Isaiah McKenzie is getting from the Bills -- for whatever that's worth -- but it's not a great spot for Berrios' upside. Corey Davis and Elijah Moore figure to stand ahead of him in target distribution. Berrios' return should confirm that Jamison Crowder is moving on in free agency. Berrios isn't worth attention in any fantasy football drafts other than deep PPR formats.
RB Raheem Mostert is "making a full recovery and will be ready to play this season," agent Brett Tessler tells ESPN's Adam Schefter. Mostert is rehabbing a knee-cartilage injury and went for testing this week under Dr. Dan Cooper in Dallas. Mostert is set to hit free agency next week. There have been rumors of interest from both sides on him re-signing with the 49ers. Mostert is a low-risk shot late in current best-ball fantasy football drafts.

The 28-year-old is scheduled to count ~$21 million against the cap in 2022, a contract year. 2021 produced 1,239 yards and 9 TDs on a career-high 111 catches. He carries a Round 1 ADP in early best ball drafting.
The Dolphins have agreed to terms with Mike McDaniel to become the team's next HC. McDaniel spent 2021 as San Francisco's OC after serving as the run-game coordinator the previous 4 seasons. McDaniel arrived with Kyle Shanahan, whom he had also worked under with the Falcons, Browns, Washington and Texans. McDaniel got his NFL start as an intern with the 2005 Broncos, coached by Mike Shanahan. So we should expect a strong Shanahan influence on McDaniel's offensive approach in Miami. He inherits an offense with QB Tua Tagovailoa heading into Year 3 and WR Jaylen Waddle coming off a terrific debut campaign. Plenty of questions need to be answered, though, with "TE" Mike Gesicki and multiple WRs facing free agency. The Dolphins also sport an unsettled backfield that found Duke Johnson leading in rushing yards per game last season. This will be an interesting offense to watch through the offseason, especially because McDaniel looks like a potential plus for the unit.
Browns WR Anthony Schwartz said he's not yet 100% recovered from lingering injuries. Schwartz missed a chunk of training camp with a hamstring issue — then sat out 3 games with a concussion. “It's not really soft-tissue stuff. It's a little bit more than that,” he said via the Akron Beacon Journal. “[I’m] mainly just getting my health back, trying to get everything from the season out of me, so I'm able to train fully and able to not have any setbacks. I really want to get my speed back to where I know it can be and being able to keep that speed up throughout the season and being able to stay healthy throughout the season, so I can contribute — be one of the top guys on the team.” Schwartz’s speed is indeed his best trait — he blazed a 4.27 forty-time at Auburn’s Pro Day. A 2021 3rd-round pick, the 6’0, 186-pounder carries some sleeper appeal in deep dynasty formats.
The Jets “really want to re-sign” WR Braxton Berrios, per beat writer Rich Cimini. Berrios, 26, came on strong late in the year, catching 5+ balls in 3 of his final 4 games. He even earned an All-Pro nod for his kick return performance. If the Jets bring back Berrios and move on from Jamison Crowder -- another free agent -- it’s possible the former carries some sleeper value into summer drafts. Of course, a lot will ride on the development of Zach Wilson -- 1 of Pro Football Focus' lowest graded passers of 2021.

"A power struggle in Miami," Rapoport tweeted. We'll see where the Dolphins go at HC.
