Shark Bites are the latest fantasy football news & NFL updates. Draft Sharks has been in business since 1999. And when we started, redraft was the dominant form of fantasy football. Check out what we've learned about this most basic form of fantasy football along the way.
Dolphins RBs Raheem Mostert (NIR/rest) and Jeff Wilson Jr. (hip) logged limited participation at practice on Thursday. With so many games happening on Saturday this week, it'll be tough to gauge lineup decisions for these two. We're of the mindset that both guys seem likely to play. Unfortunately, the schedule makes it so fantasy managers will have to decide what to do sooner rather than later. Mostert and Wilson Jr. are RB3/flex options if they both play.
The Ravens have ruled DL Calais Campbell (knee) and CB Marcus Peters (calf) out for Saturday's game against the Falcons.
According to Ian Rapoport of NFL Network, Ravens QB Tyler Huntley will be the starter in Week 16 vs. the Falcons. The possible return of Lamar Jackson will have to wait another week. Though the Falcons' defense presents the 8th-best matchup for QBs in adjusted fantasy points allowed, Huntley is nothing more than a low-end QB2 consideration in superflex leagues. Huntley is 32nd among qualified QBs in PFF passing grade and ranks as the QB24 in fantasy since Week 13. Fantasy managers likely have better options for their lineups.
Dolphins RB Raheem Mostert did not practice on Wednesday, officially listed as a veteran rest day. Teammate Jeff Wilson Jr. (hip) participated in a limited fashion. The Dolphins' Week 16 showdown vs. the Packers is set for a Sunday kickoff. As such, there is still plenty of time for more information regarding their availability. Check back tomorrow as we learn more.
Dolphins HC Mike McDaniel said Monday that RB Jeff Wilson Jr. was close to playing Saturday night against the Bills, according to the team website. He called the RB day-to-day going forward. We'll track Wilson's status but would bet on him playing Sunday against the Packers. We'd still bet on RB Raheem Mostert leading the backfield work, but Wilson would almost certainly cut further into the split than remaining Miami RBs did at Buffalo.
Dolphins WR Jaylen Waddle tallied 114 yards and a TD on just 3 catches in Saturday night's loss to the Bills. Waddle ranked 2nd on the team with 7 targets, trailing only Tyreek Hill (13) and 5 ahead of any other Miami player. A 67-yard TD early in the 3rd quarter powered Waddle's production. His 7 targets did rank a clear 2nd on the team, 6 behind Tyreek Hill's lead but 5 behind anyone else on the squad.
Dolphins WR Tyreek Hill drew 13 targets and caught 9 balls in Saturday night's loss to the Bills. That constituted 43.3% of Miami pass attempts and 53% of the receptions. He tallied 69 yards and a TD.
Dolphins QB Tua Tagovailoa threw for 234 yards and 2 TDs in Saturday night's loss at Buffalo. He took just 2 sacks but completed a mere 17 of 30 passes (56.7%). Tagovailoa hit WR Tyreek Hill from 20 yards out and WR Jaylen Waddle for a 67-yard score. Miami gets the Packers at home in Week 16.
Dolphins RB Raheem Mostert ran for 136 yards in Saturday night's loss to the Bills. Mostert posted nearly half of that with a 67-yard run in the 1st quarter but averaged a solid 4.3 yards on the rest of his carries as well. He ceded the team's lone rushing score to RB Salvon Ahmed. Mostert handled 74% of the team's RB carries, though, and would be a strong play against the Packers in Week 16 if Jeff Wilson Jr. remains out. Mostert will likely sit inside our top 20 at the position in the Week 16 fantasy football rankings even if Wilson is back.
Ravens QB Tyler Huntley threw for just 138 yards in Saturday's loss to the Browns. He completed 17 of 30 passes (56.7%), with 0 TDs and 1 INT. No Baltimore player exceeded 31 receiving yards, with WR Demarcus Robinson the only Raven catching more than 3 passes. We'll see about Lamar Jackson's status for a Week 16 matchup with the Falcons.
Dolphins RB Jeff Wilson (hip) is inactive for tonight's game against the Bills. Raheem Mostert will operate as the clear lead back, with Myles Gaskin and Salvon Ahmed behind him.
The forecast for tonight's Dolphins-Bills game calls for temperatures in the mid-20s and potentially heavy snow. If there's good news, it's that winds are expected to be manageable: 5-10 mph sustained with gusts of 10-15 mph. These are still less-than-ideal conditions for the passing and kicking games, though. We've made some adjustments to our projections for this game. Check out the updated rankings.
Dolphins WR Tyreek Hill (ankle) isn’t listed on the final injury report. He was full-go in practice on Wednesday and Thursday and will be ready for his usual role vs. the Bills on Saturday night.
Dolphins RB Jeff Wilson (hip) is listed as questionable for Saturday night's game vs. the Bills. He got in just a limited practice on Thursday. Wilson would be a shaky fantasy play if he ends up suiting up on Saturday. If not, Raheem Mostert should handle the vast majority of the backfield work for Miami.
Dolphins WR Tyreek Hill (ankle) was upgraded to full participation in Wednesday's practice. He'll be ready to rock for Saturday night's game vs. the Bills.
Dolphins RB Jeff Wilson (hip) remained sidelined on Wednesday. We'll see if he's able to practice tomorrow, but we're not expecting Wilson to play vs. the Bills on Saturday night.
Dolphins WR Tyreek Hill (ankle) was limited in Tuesday's practice. He got a bit banged up in Sunday night's loss to the Chargers but was able to play through it. Hill should be fine for Saturday night's game vs. the Bills.
Dolphins RB Jeff Wilson (hip) did not practice on Tuesday. HC Mike McDaniel labeled him "day-to-day" on Monday, but Wilson certainly seems to be in danger of missing Saturday night's game vs. the Bills. We'll update his status again tomorrow.
Dolphins RB Jeff Wilson is "day-to-day" with the hip injury he suffered in Sunday night's loss to the Chargers, HC Mike McDaniel said. "We have avoided the worst case scenarios for sure," McDaniel said. That's good news -- but we'd still consider Wilson iffy for Saturday night's game vs. the Bills. We'll track his status throughout the week. Wilson's absence would obviously be good news for RB Raheem Mostert's fantasy outlook.
Dolphins WR Tyreek Hill finished Week 14 with 4 catches (10 targets), 81 yards and 1 TD. Hill added a fumble return score on one of the wildest plays you’ll see this season. Credit Hill for playing through an ankle issue, one we'll need to keep an eye on this week at practice. On the receiving score, Hill beat his man downfield for a 57-yarder. That proved huge, as Tua Tagovailoa played his worst game of the season, at one point completing only 3 of 17 attempts. That type of output seriously limited the upside of Jaylen Waddle, who totaled only 2-31 on 4 targets. He’s now totaled 3-40 over the past 2 weeks. This unit will look to rebound Saturday night against a tough Bills defense. A major turnaround in that one is unlikely.
