Jordan Poyer Fantasy Football News | Shark Bites

Shark Bites are the latest fantasy football news & NFL updates. Draft Sharks has been in business since 1999. And when we started, redraft was the dominant form of fantasy football. Check out what we've learned about this most basic form of fantasy football along the way.

The Bills have ruled S Jordan Poyer out for Sunday's game against the Steelers because of his rib injury. S Damar Hamlin started in place of S Micah Hyde last week and should remain in the lineup. We'll see who replaces Poyer, who didn't miss a snap in the Week 4 win over Baltimore. Jaquan Johnson started next to Hamlin in Week 3, when Buffalo last went without both starting safeties. He looks like the best bet to join Hamlin again. We'd try to look elsewhere for IDP options in most cases.

Bills S Jordan Poyer (foot) and CB Dane Jackson (neck) are active for today's game against the Ravens. DT Ed Oliver (ankle) is inactive.

Bills CB Dane Jackson (neck), DT Ed Oliver (ankle) and S Jordan Poyer (foot) are questionable for Sunday's game against the Ravens. All 3 missed last week's contest but put in limited practices throughout this week. DT Jordan Phillips (hamstring) is out for the 2nd straight game.

As expected, Bills S Jordan Poyer (foot) is officially inactive for today's game against the Dolphins. That leaves Buffalo without its 2 starting safeties -- Micah Hyde (neck) for the rest of the year -- plus CB Dane Jackson.

ESPN’s Jeremy Fowler reports that Bills S Jordan Poyer (foot) is not expected to play Sunday against the Dolphins. That would leave Buffalo without both starting safeties and CB Dane Jackson. That’s rough for a matchup with Tyreek Hill and Jaylen Waddle

The Bills have ruled S Micah Hyde (neck), CB Dane Jackson (neck), DT Jordan Phillips (hamstring) and Ed Oliver (ankle) out for Sunday's game in Miami. S Jordan Poyer (foot) is also questionable. That's a large chunk of the starting defense and could soften the matchup for Miami offensive players. You should already have been planning to start Tyreek Hill and Jaylen Waddle, though. The injuries give a slight boost to QB Tua Tagovailoa, who we've had on the fringe of starter territory in our QB rankings. We'll check Poyer's status Sunday morning.

Bills S Micah Hyde and CB Dane Jackson missed practice Wednesday. Both players left Monday night's game with neck injuries that sent them to the hospital that night. We'd bet on neither playing this week but will keep an eye on the situation. S Jordan Poyer was limited with a foot injury. DT Jordan Phillips (hamstring) also missed practice, while DT Ed Oliver (ankle) returned to a limited practice after missing all last week.

Bills S Jordan Poyer put in a full practice Monday, indicating that his preseason elbow injury won't stop him from starting Week 1. We'll watch for confirmation ahead of Thursday night, but it appears Poyer is all the way back.

Bills S Jordan Poyer returned over the weekend after missing nearly a month with an elbow injury. According to Katherine Fitzgerald of the Buffalo News, he expects to be ready to play in the regular-season opener, "as long as there's no setbacks." Poyer still has a little more than a week to knock off any rust. We'll see whether Buffalo indicates any limitation on his Week 1 playing time.

Bills S Jordan Poyer hyperextended his left elbow in practice this week. The AP reports that he's expected to miss "several weeks." That timeline could still return the vet ahead of the regular season. HC Sean McDermott also told reporters "maybe a week or 2." So we won't alter our IDP outlook for him just yet. We'll be watching for his return to the field, though.

Bills S Jordan Poyer (shoulder) is active for today's game against the Jaguars.

Bills S Jordan Poyer is questionable for Sunday's game against the Jaguars. Poyer missed Thursday's practice with a shoulder issue after not appearing on the Wednesday report. Poyer made it back for a limited Friday workout. We'll check his status for the game Sunday morning.

Bills LB Matt Milano is questionable for Sunday night's game against the Chiefs with a hamstring injury. He missed practice Wednesday and Thursday before returning for limited work Friday. The late kickoff plus a negative scoring matchup for LBs makes Milano a tough guy to wait for in Week 5 IDP lineups. Try to go another route if you can help it. In deep leagues where you plan to wait, teammate A.J. Klein can serve as insurance. He'd likely see full or near-full time work if Milano sits. Consider available Chiefs, Colts and Ravens LBs as options as well. Elsewhere on the defense, S Jordan Poyer and CB Taron Johnson are ready to return after missing last week. DE Gregory Rousseau is also good to go after opening the week missing practice with a toe injury. CB Tre'Davious White was limited in practice every day with a shoulder issue but carries no injury status into the game. So he should be set for normal playing time as well.

The Bills have ruled S Jordan Poyer out for Sunday's game against the Texans. He sprained an ankle in the Week 3 win over Washington but appeared to be fine by the end of the game. That was clearly not the case, as Poyer missed practice all week. Bills CB Taron Johnson (groin) is questionable for the game. We'll check his status Sunday morning.
