Brandon Bolden Fantasy Football News | Shark Bites

Shark Bites are the latest fantasy football news & NFL updates. Draft Sharks has been in business since 1999. And when we started, redraft was the dominant form of fantasy football. Check out what we've learned about this most basic form of fantasy football along the way.

Raiders RB Josh Jacobs is not expected to practice much, if at all, this week with his calf strain, according to NFL Network's Tom Pelissero. "He’ll get around-the-clock treatment in hopes of playing Sunday against the Chargers," Pelissero adds. It's a surprising report after Jacobs blew up for 303 total yards and 2 TDs vs. the Seahawks last week -- after hurting that calf on Friday. We'll keep you updated on his status throughout the week. If Jacobs can't go on Sunday, Vegas would likely deploy a committee with RBs Zamir White, Ameer Abdullah and Brandon Bolden.

Raiders RB Josh Jacobs drew 17 of the team's 19 carries in Sunday's loss at Jacksonville but gained a just-OK 67 yards (3.9 per rush). He added 3 catches for 20 yards (6.7 per reception) on 3 targets. RBs Brandon Bolden and Zamir White got 1 carry apiece. RB Ameer Abdullah drew 3 targets, catching 1 for 8 yards.

Raiders RB Josh Jacobs shook off an illness that rendered him questionable for Sunday's game and again dominated backfield work. He handled 13 of Las Vegas' 16 RB carries and beat Brandon Bolden 6-2 in targets. Bolden was the only other RB to see the field. He trailed Jacobs by 20 total snaps and 9 routes. Jacobs ran for a decent 66 yards on his 13 attempts and caught 5 balls for 31 yards. He narrowly missed reaching the end zone on a 2nd-quarter run that set up Davante Adams' short TD catch.

NFL Network's Steve Wyche hears that Raiders RB Josh Jacobs (illness) will work out prior to today's game vs. the Titans. He'll then presumably decide whether he can play after missing practice on Thursday and Friday. We'll get Vegas' inactives around 11:30 am ET. Jacobs might be at risk of a limited workload if he suits up. If not, the Raiders would be down to RBs Zamir White, Brandon Bolden and Ameer Abdullah.

NFL Network’s Tom Pelissero reports that Raiders RB Josh Jacobs did travel to Tennessee on Saturday but remains questionable for Sunday’s game. This is obviously a positive development for Jacobs, but we’ll have to see about his status Sunday

We already passed along that Raiders RB Josh Jacobs is questionable for Sunday's game because of an illness. According to multiple reports, he's not joining the team in traveling from Vegas to Nashville on Friday. That doesn't necessarily alter his outlook, but it does point to the significance of his illness. And the fact that he's not traveling initially certainly doesn't seem like good news for his chance of playing. Make sure you're not counting on Jacobs playing Sunday, and we'll watch his status over the weekend.

Raiders RB Josh Jacobs (illness) is listed as questionable for this weekend's game vs. the Titans. He didn't practice on Wednesday or Thursday. Players almost always play through illnesses, but you'll need to check back Sunday around 11:30 am ET to make sure Jacobs is active. RB Brandon Bolden (hamstring) isn't listed on the final Week 3 injury report and will be back for Sunday's game after missing Week 2.

Raiders RB Brandon Bolden (hamstring) is inactive for today’s game vs. the Cardinals. Look for RB Ameer Abdullah to replace Bolden as Vegas’ passing-down back.

Raiders RB Brandon Bolden (hamstring) didn't practice all week and is listed as doubtful for Sunday's game vs. the Raiders. Bolden replaced RB Josh Jacobs on some passing downs in the opener. Look for RB Ameer Abdullah to pick up that work in Week 2.

Raiders RB Josh Jacobs operated as the team’s lead back in Sunday’s loss to the Chargers. He played 60% of the snaps and saw nearly 77% of the team’s rushing attempts. Unfortunately, while Jacobs posted 5.7 YPC, this was a pass-happy script for the Raiders, who fired off only 13 total rushes. He also watched as Brandon Bolden factored into the passing game with 2 grabs, 21 yards and 1 downfield score. Jacobs caught his only target for 16 yards. He’ll look for more Sunday against a Cardinals defense that might remain without J.J. Watt.

Raiders RB Brandon Bolden was knocked out of Sunday's game vs. the Chargers with a hamstring injury. He was operating as the #2 back before exiting, carrying 3 times for 7 yards and catching both of his targets for 21 yards and a TD. We'll update Bolden's status when we know more.

Patriots RB Rhamondre Stevenson was placed on the COVID list on Friday and will miss this weekend's game vs. the Bills. RB Damien Harris (hamstring) is listed as questionable after a limited week of practice. He could be in for a big workload on Sunday if that hamstring checks out. If not, New England would be down to RBs Brandon Bolden and J.J. Taylor. We'll gets the Patriots' inactives around 11:30 am ET on Sunday.

Patriots RB Brandon Bolden (knee) is active for tonight's game vs. the Bills. He should be ready for his usual pass-catching role.

Patriots RB Brandon Bolden (knee) is listed as questionable for Week 13. He was limited in practice all week and should be available for his usual passing-down role vs. the Bills on Monday night.

Patriots RBs Damien Harris (neck) and RB Rhamondre Stevenson (knee) are "looking good to play" vs. the Titans today, according to NFL Network's Ian Rapoport. Both guys are listed as questionable, but we never sensed any concern about their statuses. Look for Harris and Stevenson to split early-down work today, with RB Brandon Bolden handling most of the passing downs.

Patriots RB Damien Harris (concussion) is not listed on the final injury report. He's been cleared to return for Thursday night's game vs. the Falcons. RB Rhamondre Stevenson went off in Harris' absence last week, making this a tough backfield to project for Week 11. Our best guess is that Harris returns to a lead role but cedes more work to Stevenson than he had been. RB Brandon Bolden will continue mixing in on passing downs.

Patriots RB Rhamondre Stevenson (concussion) is active for today’s game vs. the Browns. J.J. Taylor is also active, joining Stevenson and Brandon Bolden in the backfield. We’re expecting all 3 to be involved today, with Stevenson the best bet for carries and Bolden likely to lead in targets.

ESPN's Adam Schefter reports that Patriots RB Rhamondre Stevenson (concussion) is expected to play vs. the Browns today. The rookie missed all 3 practices this week, which might impact his role in the game plan today. But we'd still consider him the favorite to lead New England in carries. RB Brandon Bolden might still take on a bigger ball-carrying role and should handle most of the pass-catching work.

Patriots RB Rhamondre Stevenson (concussion) has a "real shot" to play vs. the Browns today, according to NFL Network's Ian Rapoport. It sounds like Stevenson will try to get medical clearance this morning. We'll get New England's inactives around 11:30 am ET. With RB Damien Harris (concussion) out, an active Stevenson would be the favorite to lead the Patriots in carries today.

Patriots RB Damien Harris (concussion) has been downgraded to out for Sunday's game vs. the Browns. RB Rhamondre Stevenson (concussion) is still listed as questionable and evidently has a shot to be cleared by tomorrow. We'll keep you updated on his status.
