Fantasy Football News & Latest NFL Updates

Shark Bites are the latest fantasy football news & NFL updates. Draft Sharks has been in business since 1999. And when we started, redraft was the dominant form of fantasy football. Check out what we've learned about this most basic form of fantasy football along the way.

Packers S Rudy Ford (calf) and DT Kenny Clark (shoulder) are active for today's game against the Steelers. Neither is a high-level IDP option, but each is available for deeper lineup spots.

Jaguars S Andre Cisco (hamstring) and CB Tyson Campbell (hamstring) are active for today's game against the 49ers. Use them as planned in your IDP lineups.

Browns RB Pierre Strong (hamstring) is active for today’s game vs. the Ravens. He should continue to serve as the No. 3 RB behind Jerome Ford and Kareem Hunt.

Ravens RB Keaton Mitchell (hamstring) is active for today’s game vs. the Browns. He was added to the injury report on Thursday but put in a full practice on Friday, so we’re not expecting the hamstring to be a problem.

Texans WR Robert Woods (foot) is active for today’s game vs. the Bengals. He was a full participant in Friday's practice, so the foot shouldn’t be a major issue. Woods’ return is good timing with WR Nico Collins out with his calf injury. Woods will join Tank Dell and Noah Brown as Houston’s top three WRs. See where they all sit in the Week 10 WR Rankings.

Vikings TE T.J. Hockenson (ribs) is active for today’s game vs. the Saints. ESPN’s Ed Werder said this morning that Hockenson “won’t play as many snaps as normal but will be on field in key situations.” We’re still expecting him to be out there for most pass plays, so Hockenson is fine to keep in Week 10 fantasy lineups.

Bengals WR Ja'Marr Chase (back) is active for today’s game vs. the Texans. He got in limited practices on Thursday and Friday after suffering what’s been reported as a back bruise in last Sunday night’s win over the Bills. Chase was truly 50/50 for this one, according to NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport, and “it's unclear how functional he'll be." Chase did enough in pre-game warmups to get the green light, though. His fantasy floor and ceiling are lower than usual this week, but you’d still need to be loaded at WR to bench him.

Bucs WR Chris Godwin is dealing with an illness but is expected to play vs. the Titans today, the team announced. We'll look for more details on Godwin's status. But, at this point, we're still expecting him to play his usual role.

Update: Godwin is officially active.

Vikings WR K.J. Osborn (concussion) is out for today’s game vs. the Saints. He’s cleared the concussion protocol, but the team is opting to hold Osborn out. He should be back for Week 11. Osborn’s absence leaves Minnesota with WRs Jordan Addison, Brandon Powell, Trishton Jackson, N’Keal Harry, and Jalen Nailor. Addison is the only viable fantasy play.

Bengals WR Ja'Marr Chase (back) "did what was necessary in his warmups" and will play vs. the Texans today, per NFL Network's Ian Rapoport. "Time will tell how effective he is," Rapoport adds. There's obviously elevated risk with Chase this week, but he'd be extremely tough to leave out of fantasy lineups -- especially with WR Tee Higgins out.

Vikings TE T.J. Hockenson (ribs) "won’t play as many snaps as normal" vs. the Saints today, according to ESPN's Ed Werder. Hockenson "will be on field in key situations," Werder adds. We'd expect those "key situations" to be pass plays. This is a case where Hockenson's snaps could be down, but his pass routes could be right in line with usual. He carries some added risk today but remains a fine fantasy play at the weak TE position.

NFL Network's Ian Rapoport calls Vikings WR Justin Jefferson (hamstring) "close" to a return. "Jefferson spent the week jumping in practice drills and was seen sprinting without issue before Saturday's walk-thru," Rapoport adds. We'll keep an eye on Jefferson's status this coming week, but there's seemingly a chance that he returns for next Sunday night's game vs. the Broncos.

Patriots LB Ja'Whaun Bentley (hamstring) is inactive for today's game against the Colts. That's at least a mild surprise. Bentley did enter the day questionable, but he followed the same practice routine (all limited) this week with the same issue that he played through in Week 9. His absence boosts LB Jahlani Tavai into LB2 territory in our Week 10 rankings. CB Myles Bryant (chest), DE Deatrich Wise (shoulder), CB Jack Jones (knee), and Jonathan Jones (knee) are active.

Colts LB Zaire Franklin (knee) is active for today's game against the Patriots. Play him as usual in your IDP lineups.

Patriots WR Demario Douglas (ankle) is active for this morning’s game vs. the Colts. He was limited in practice all week, but we heard nothing to suggest that the ankle will be an issue today. Douglas is on the WR3/4 radar with New England again without WRs Kendrick Bourne and DeVante Parker.

Colts WR Alec Pierce (ankle) is active for today’s game vs. the Patriots. He was a full-go in Friday’s practice and should be ready for his usual role today. Pierce could pick up a little extra volume with WR Josh Downs banged up but is really only an option in one-game DFS contests.

Colts WR Josh Downs (knee) is active for today's game vs. the Patriots. Downs aggravated his knee injury early in last week's game and then didn't practice at all this week. ESPN's Adam Schefter said Saturday night that "the team could be cautious in how much it uses him" today. We'd try not to use Downs in Week 10 fantasy lineups.

The Texans have activated CB Derek Stingley Jr. from IR. He has been out since Week 2 with a hamstring injury but appears ready to play today against the Bengals. It's tough to know how close to full playing time he'll get in his first game back from such a long layoff. He also hasn't had much chance to show us if he'll be an impactful IDP option. The 2022 first-round pick has appeared in just 11 NFL games to date. His return can only help the Houston defense. But we'll be watching to see whether he's worth individual fantasy attention.

NFL Network reports that Bengals WR Ja'Marr Chase is "considered 50-50 at best to play" today against the Texans. Ian Rapoport adds that "it's unclear how functional he'll be" after Chase hurt his back in last Sunday night's win over the Bills. He'll be a game-time decision for the 1 p.m. ET kickoff. Check back for updates ahead of lineup lock to see where Chase winds up in our Week 10 rankings -- if he's active. He'll clearly carry some risk even if he's playing.

Vikings WR K.J. Osborn has cleared the concussion protocol. But NFL Network's Ian Rapoport reports that the team still wants to "check him" today before deciding whether the WR will play against the Saints. We'll watch for Osborn's status when inactive arrive around 11:30 a.m. ET. Osborn sits in just WR4 territory for now in our Week 10 rankings.
