Shark Bites are the latest fantasy football news & NFL updates. Draft Sharks has been in business since 1999. And when we started, redraft was the dominant form of fantasy football. Check out what we've learned about this most basic form of fantasy football along the way.
Cowboys RB Tony Pollard (foot) is inactive for today’s game vs. Washington. That leaves only Corey Clement and JaQuan Hardy behind Ezekiel Elliott on the depth chart. Zeke should take on a bigger share of the backfield work today -- although we’re still expecting a pass-heavy game plan from Dallas.
The Chiefs have ruled CB L'Jarius Sneed out for today's game against the Raiders after the death of his older brother. Sneed traveled to Louisiana on Saturday to be with family and reportedly remains there. We'll see whether he's ready to return for Week 15.
Cowboys RB Tony Pollard (foot) won't play vs. Washington today, according to Fox Sports' Jay Glazer. That leaves Corey Clement as Dallas' #2 RB and should mean an increased role for RB Ezekiel Elliott. Despite his ongoing knee trouble, Zeke looks like a borderline RB1 based on volume alone.
"There isn’t a lot of optimism" for Cowboys RB Tony Pollard (foot) to play against Washington today, according to NFL Network's Ian Rapoport. Pollard is "fighting for it," Rapoport adds, and a final decision won't be made until pregame warmups. It's a 1 pm ET kickoff, so we'll get Pollard's status around 11:30 am ET. But he'll be a risky play if he ends up active. If not, expect RB Ezekiel Elliott to take on more volume. Dallas' only other RBs on the active roster are Corey Clement and JaQuan Hardy.
Seahawks S Quandre Diggs is questionable for Sunday's game against the Texans with a calf injury. Diggs missed Wednesday and Thursday before returning to a limited Friday workout. He looks very iffy for the game, but we'll check his status Sunday.
Cowboys RB Tony Pollard (foot) is listed as questionable for Sunday’s game vs. Washington. He didn’t practice all week and said Thursday that he’ll be a game-time decision with his torn plantar fascia. Pollard will obviously come with elevated risk if he ends up playing. If not, Dallas would likely be forced to give RB Ezekiel Elliott more touches. Zeke, by the way, put in a full week of practice.
Cowboys RB Tony Pollard told reporters Thursday that he has a torn plantar fascia in his left foot. NFL Network's Ian Rapoport reports that it's a partial tear. Pollard expects to be a game-time decision for Sunday's tilt with Washington. This injury tends to be a pain management issue, so it is possible that Pollard plays through it. But he'd obviously come with elevated risk in fantasy lineups. We'll continue to keep a close eye on the situation.
Cowboys RB Tony Pollard's rehab is "intended to have him on track to play Sunday at Washington," HC Mike McCarthy said Thursday, per The Dallas Morning News' Michael Gehlken. Pollard suffered a foot strain on his 58-yard TD in last week's win over the Saints, McCarthy revealed. He carried twice more after that score. We'll continue to keep a close eye on Pollard over the next few days.
Cowboys RB Tony Pollard missed Wednesday's practice with a foot issue. “He’s fine,” a source tells The Dallas Morning News' Michael Gehlken. Dallas did sign RB Ito Smith to the practice squad on Wednesday, though, suggesting that there's at least some concern about Pollard's Week 14 availability. We'll get another update tomorrow.
Seahawks S Jamal Adams will need season-ending shoulder surgery. NFL Network's Ian Rapoport reports that Adams tore the labrum in his left shoulder Sunday and "suffered additional damage." It's the same shoulder in which Adams tore the labrum last year and required surgery. Rapoport says Adams is expected to fully recover ahead of the 2022 campaign. Ryan Neal filled in for Adams against the 49ers and looks like the replacement going forward.
Seahawks S Jamal Adams left Sunday's game against the 49ers with a shoulder injury. We'll see about the severity heading into Seattle's Week 14 visit to Houston.
Falcons WR Calvin Ridley is eligible to come off the non-football injury list this week, but HC Arthur Smith had no update on his status on Monday. We'll continue to monitor the situation, but fantasy owners shouldn't be planning on having Ridley in Week 12 lineups.
Seahawks S Jamal Adams (groin) and CB D.J. Reed (groin, knee) are questionable for Sunday's game against the Cardinals. We'll keep an eye out for updates between now and Sunday's release of inactives.
The Titans have ruled LB David Long (hamstring), LB Rashaan Evans (ankle) and EDGE Bud Dupree (abdomen). CB Janoris Jenkins (chest) is questionable after missing Thursday's and Friday's practices. EDGE Harold Landry (hamstring) and DL Jeffery Simmons (ankle) carry no injury designations into the game despite managing injuries this week. Landry spent the week limited with a hamstring issue. Simmons sandwiched a missed Thursday's practice between 2 limited workouts. Both look fine to use in IDP lineups, though.
Steelers HC Mike Tomlin said his team is operating under the assumption that QB Mason Rudolph will start Sunday night's game vs. the Chargers. QB Ben Roethlisberger has a chance to come off the COVID list ahead of that game, but it sounds like it's unlikely. Rudolph was a disaster in last week's tie vs. the Lions, averaging 4.8 yards per pass attempt.
Dolphins LB Jerome Baker (knee) is active for today's game against the Texans. There's clear upside to the matchup but also the chance Baker sees his playing time limited after missing Week 8 with the knee injury.
Dolphins LB Jerome Baker is questionable for Sunday's game against the Texans. He's dealing with the same knee injury that knocked him out of Week 7 early and then kept him out of last week's game against the Bills. We'll check his status Sunday morning.
Rams DT Sebastian Joseph-Day aggravated his chest injury in Thursday's practice and will need surgery. He's out indefinitely. "Whether or not that means he'll return at any point this season, I think we'll have to see after the surgery," HC Sean McVay said, according to Gary Klein of the Los Angeles Times. Greg Gaines started in Joseph-Day's place in Week 8 and looks like the NT going forward.
The Falcons placed WR Calvin Ridley on the non-football injury list. That requires him to miss at least the next 3 weeks, making Week 12 his earliest potential return. We'd still try to keep Ridley stashed on fantasy benches for now.
In a statement posted on social media, Falcons WR Calvin Ridley wrote, "I need to step away from football at this time and focus on my mental wellbeing." Ridley has been scratched in 2 of Atlanta's last 3 games. It's unclear when he'll return to the game. We'd recommend keeping him stashed on fantasy benches for now.
