Shark Bites are the latest fantasy football news & NFL updates. Draft Sharks has been in business since 1999. And when we started, redraft was the dominant form of fantasy football. Check out what we've learned about this most basic form of fantasy football along the way.
Titans WR Julio Jones (hamstring) remained limited in Thursday's practice. We'll see what he does tomorrow and how he's listed on the final injury report for Sunday night's game vs. the Rams.
Giants RB Saquon Barkley remains on the COVID list and did not practice on Thursday. His first 2 rapid COVID tests came back positive, but a PCR test later came back negative. Barkley is scheduled for re-tests later today and tomorrow. It seems like there's a good chance he's off the COVID list in time for Sunday's game vs. the Raiders, but it remains uncertain if his injured ankle will let him play. Missing Wednesday and Thursday's practices certainly doesn't help.
Titans WR Julio Jones (hamstring) returned to a limited practice on Wednesday -- his 1st since Friday of Week 7. Jones seemingly has a chance to play vs. the Rams on Sunday night, but check back tomorrow for another update.
ESPN's Adam Schefter reports that Giants RB Saquon Barkley tested negative for COVID on Wednesday's re-check. According to Schefter, 13 members of the team who tested positive Tuesday were re-tested, and RBs coach Burton Burns came back as the only positive. That would seem to indicate Barkley is back on track to play. We'll see whether he requires a 2nd negative test to officially be cleared or whether there are any further developments to this situation. Of course, we'll also need to watch to make sure Barkley's sprained ankle is ready for action against the Raiders this Sunday.
Giants RB Saquon Barkley has tested positive for COVID, according to NFL Network's Ian Rapoport. Barkley has been vaccinated, so he could still play Sunday against the Raiders if he remains symptom-free and tests negative twice before then. If he passes there, Barkley seems to be on track to return from his ankle sprain. If Barkley's out again, Devontae Booker would retain the starting gig.
Dolphins WR DeVante Parker (hamstring, shoulder) is active for today’s game vs. the Bills. It’ll be his 1st action since Week 8. Parker would be tough to trust in fantasy lineups, but he figures to siphon some targets from WR Jaylen Waddle and TE Mike Gesicki.
The Dolphins expect WR DeVante Parker to return to the lineup today against the Bills, according to NFL Network's Ian Rapoport. Parker has been out since Oct. 3, dealing with shoulder and hamstring injuries. His return could challenge the target shares of WR Jaylen Waddle and/or TE Mike Gesicki. The Buffalo matchup will be tough for the entire Miami offense, though the heavily favored Bills figure to drive up the Dolphins' passing volume.
The Giants have officially ruled RB Saquon Barkley (ankle) out for Monday night's game against the Chiefs. That comes as no surprise, with Barkley yet to return to practice. It locks in Devontae Booker as a solid RB2 for PPR lineups.
Dolphins WR DeVante Parker (hamstring, shoulder) was limited in practice all week and is listed as questionable for Sunday’s game vs. the Bills. He was in the same boat last week and ended up inactive. We’ll get Parker’s game status around 11:30 ET on Sunday, but he shouldn’t be in your Week 8 fantasy plans.
Giants RB Saquon Barkley (ankle) missed practice again on Friday. He's not going to play vs. the Chiefs of Monday night, giving RB Devontae Booker another start.
Titans WR Julio Jones (hamstring) is out for Sunday's game vs. the Colts. It's unclear if he suffered a setback or if Tennessee has just decided to get that nagging hamstring injury some rest. Regardless, WR A.J. Brown should dominate targets this weekend.
Giants HC Joe Judge said Thursday that RB Saquon Barkley (ankle), WR Kenny Golladay (knee) and WR Kadarius Toney (ankle) are making "good progress." All 3 guys missed Thursday's practice, but Judge expects all 3 to return in some capacity on Friday. That at least gives them a chance to play vs. the Chiefs on Monday night, but fantasy owners still can't be counting on them at this point.
Titans WR Julio Jones (hamstring) did not practice on Wednesday. He'll likely play through this hamstring injury again vs. the Colts this weekend, but Jones is tough to trust in fantasy lineups right now. He's mustered just 5 catches on 9 targets for 97 scoreless yards over the last 2 weeks.
Dolphins WR DeVante Parker (shoulder, hamstring) remained limited in Wednesday's practice. He was limited all last week before missing the Falcons game, so his status for this Sunday's game vs. the Bills is still uncertain.
Giants RB Saquon Barkley (ankle), WR Sterling Shepard (hamstring), WR Kenny Golladay (knee) and WR Kadarius Toney (ankle) were working with trainers off to the side of Wednesday's practice, according to ESPN's Jordan Raanan. The Giants play the Chiefs on Monday night, so we'll get the team's first official practice report tomorrow. "Will say this after speaking with sources the past few days about the Giants playmakers: They're in a race against time. It is going to be close on a bunch of them. Probably one or two make it," Raanan tweeted.
Dolphins WRs DeVante Parker (hamstring, shoulder) is inactive for today’s game vs. the Falcons. Preston Williams (groin) is active and figures to operate as Miami’s #2 WR behind Jaylen Waddle.
Titans WR Julio Jones (hamstring) is active for today’s game vs. the Chiefs. He got in limited practices on Thursday and Friday after aggravating that hamstring injury in Monday night’s win over the Bills. Jones is the ultimate risk/reward fantasy play today.
NFL Network's Ian Rapoport hears that Giants RB Saquon Barkley (ankle) has an "outside chance" to return for next weekend's game vs. the Chiefs. Barkley will "likely" be back for Week 9's game vs. the Raiders, Rapoport adds. It's not a surprise after Barkley remained sidelined in practice all week. We'll see if he gets back on the field this coming week, but fantasy owners shouldn't plan on having him in Week 8 lineups.
Dolphins WR DeVante Parker (shoulder, hamstring) has "an uphill battle" to play against the Falcons today, per NFL Network's Ian Rapoport. Parker was limited in practice all week and is listed as questionable. Parker should be on fantasy benches for now. We'll get Miami's inactives around 11:30 am ET.
Titans WR Julio Jones (hamstring) is expected to play against the Chiefs today, according to NFL Network's Ian Rapoport. Jones has plenty of upside in this likely shootout. But he's a risky fantasy play after being unable to make it through Monday night's win over the Bills
