New York Jets Fantasy Football News | Shark Bites

Shark Bites are the latest fantasy football news & NFL updates. Draft Sharks has been in business since 1999. And when we started, redraft was the dominant form of fantasy football. Check out what we've learned about this most basic form of fantasy football along the way.

Raiders WR Davante Adams (shoulder) did not practice on Wednesday. He played through this injury on Monday night but managed just four catches for 45 yards. Adams will play against the Patriots this weekend, but it's clear that he's not at 100%.

Raiders WR Davante Adams (shoulder) is active for tonight's game vs. the Packers. He was able to play through this injury last week, and there have been no reports about his playing time being limited tonight. The added risk comes with the chance of re-injury. But Adams belongs in fantasy lineups if you waited on him.

Raiders WR Davante Adams (shoulder) is expected to play vs. the Packers tonight, NFL Network's Tom Pelissero reports. Adams has "barely practiced" since hurting the shoulder last week, Pelissero adds, so he comes with elevated risk in Week 5 fantasy lineups. But Adams should be available if you've been waiting on him. We'll get the Raiders' inactives around 7 pm ET.

Jets RB Breece Hall had his 2023 breakout game vs. the Broncos, racking up 194 total yards and a TD. The highlight was a 72-yard TD burst in the third quarter. Hall was a broken tackle away from breaking a few more big plays in this one. He's looking closer and closer to 100% each week. More importantly, the Jets fed Hall 22 carries and three targets in Denver -- easily his biggest workload of the season. That came just a few days after HC Robert Saleh said that Hall is no longer on a pitch count. He won't get to face the Broncos again this year. But if Hall is going to continue to get 71% of the RB opportunities like he did this week, he'll be at least a weekly RB2 going forward.

Raiders WR Davante Adams (shoulder) is listed as questionable for Monday night's game vs. the Packers. He got in just a limited practice on Saturday. Adams played through this injury last week, so we're expecting him to play on Monday. But we'll look for further updates on his status.

The Jets have ruled CB D.J. Reed (concussion) out for Sunday's game against the Broncos. We'll see if he can make it through the league protocol ahead of a Week 6 meeting with the Eagles.

Raiders WR Davante Adams (shoulder) missed practice again on Friday. He was able to play through this injury last week, so we're still expecting him to be out there against his former Packers squad on Monday night. But we'll see how Adams is listed on the final injury report tomorrow.

Raiders WR Davante Adams (shoulder) did not practice on Thursday. He was able to play through the injury last week, so he should be available for Monday night's game vs. the Packers. But we'll keep an eye on Adams over the next few days.

Jets HC Robert Saleh said Wednesday that RB Breece Hall is no longer on a pitch count. “He’s been working hard," Saleh said of Hall. "He ran violently last week in practice and I felt like it carried over into the game. You can tell he’s starting to get his legs underneath him. Even though he’s had production, he still hasn’t reached what he’s capable of and what he’s shown in the past.” Hall's snap rates over the first four weeks have gone 31%, 34%, 49%, 44%. It sounds like we should expect that to climb going forward. Perfect timing with a matchup against the pathetic Broncos defense on tap.

Jets WR Garrett Wilson hauled 9 of 14 targets for 60 receiving yards in Week 4 vs. the Chiefs. Teammate Allen Lazard led the team in receiving with 61 receiving yards and a TD on 3 catches in the contest. It’s rare that multiple pass-catchers in the Jets offense pay off for fantasy purposes, but credit to QB Zach Wilson and company for putting forth a competitive effort in primetime. Next week’s game vs. the Broncos will be a good opportunity to build upon their successes.

Jets RB Breece Hall recorded 6 carries for 56 yards with 3 catches on 4 targets for 13 yards in Sunday’s loss vs. the Chiefs. Teammate Dalvin Cook was ineffective in Week 4 with just 16 yards on 5 carries. This backfield has not been particularly strong so far this season, but a Week 5 matchup vs. a Broncos defense that allows 176.0 rushing yards per game to opponents so far this season should be appealing.

Raiders WR Davante Adams suffered a shoulder injury in the second quarter of Sunday's game vs. the Chargers. He was in obvious pain on the field and is officially questionable to return. We'll update Adams' status as soon as we know more.

Update: Adams returned to the game later in the second quarter.

Raiders WR Davante Adams hauled in 13 of 20 targets for 172 yards and 2 TDs in Week 3 vs. the Steelers. Teammate Jakobi Meyers saw major involvement in his return from a concussion, logging 7 catches on 12 targets for 85 yards in Sunday night’s loss. These performances certainly benefited fantasy managers this weekend, particularly the 42.2 PPR point effort from Adams. The Vegas duo will look to deliver again in Week 4 vs. the Chargers.

Jets WR Garrett Wilson hauled in 5 catches on 9 targets for 48 receiving yards in Week 3 vs. the Patriots. There’s a realistic chance that he’s the only player on the Jets that can be useable for fantasy purposes at this point. This is a very anemic offense with QB Zach Wilson at the helm. We’ll see what they can put together in Week 4 against the Chiefs.

The Jets’ backfield is ugly. RBs Breece Hall and Dalvin Cook each tallied 18 rushing yards on 12 and 8 carries, respectively. Neither player is getting it done for fantasy managers right now. Next week’s matchup vs. the Chiefs isn’t going to be any easier. Both Hall and Cook will be flex considerations in deeper leagues for now, though expectations shouldn’t be high for either.

Jets K Greg Zuerlein (groin) is active for today’s game vs. the Patriots. He’s a weak fantasy play with the Jets sporting a 16.5-point implied total.

Jets K Greg Zuerlein (groin) is listed as questionable for this weekend’s game vs. the Patriots. He was a full participant in Friday’s practice, so he should play. But hopefully you’re not messing with this situation in fantasy lineups.

Raiders WR Davante Adams is not listed on the final Week 3 injury report. He was on there on Wednesday, but it looks like he was never diagnosed with a concussion. Regardless, Adams will be ready to rock vs. the Steelers on Sunday night.

Raiders WR Davante Adams was a full participant in Wednesday's practice. He's listed on the injury report, "Gameday concussion protocol evaluation." We've never seen that before. Regardless, Adams is on track to play vs. the Steelers this weekend.

Raiders HC Josh McDaniels deemed WR Davante Adams "good" on Monday, according to ESPN's Field Yates. Adams left Sunday's loss to Buffalo late for a concussion check after a big hit. But he clearly passed the testing. Symptoms sometimes surface a couple of days after the injury, and we'll certainly be watching for any further updates. But Adams should be ready for Week 3.
