Shark Bites are the latest fantasy football news & NFL updates. Draft Sharks has been in business since 1999. And when we started, redraft was the dominant form of fantasy football. Check out what we've learned about this most basic form of fantasy football along the way.
Ravens QB Tyler Huntley will start Sunday's game vs. the Steelers, HC John Harbaugh said Friday. QB Lamar Jackson still isn't able to play on that ankle injury. Huntley has finished QB18, QB1 and QB21 in fantasy points in 3 starts this season.
Ravens QB Tyler Huntley has been activated from the COVID list. He'll be available to start Sunday's game vs. the Rams if QB Lamar Jackson remains out with his ankle injury.
The Jets on Monday placed TE Tyler Kroft on the COVID list. This likely doesn't affect many fantasy rosters, but it's a little more noteworthy after Kroft saw a season high in playing time Sunday against the Jaguars and drew 5 targets.
Buccaneers HC Bruce Arians says EDGE Shaq Barrett sprained the ACL and MCL in his right knee in Sunday's win over the Panthers. ESPN's Adam Schefter reports that Tampa hopes to get Barrett back for the playoffs. That means you can dump him from IDP redraft rosters.
Buccaneers HC Bruce Arians says EDGE Shaq Barrett suffered a "minor" MCL injury in Sunday's win over the Panthers, according to the team website. We'll see whether the injury threatens his Week 17 status.
Ravens DL Calais Campbell (thigh), EDGE Odafe Oweh (illness) and Brandon Stephens (illness) are active for today's game against the Bengals.
Chiefs WR Tyreek Hill has cleared the COVID protocol and is ready to face the Steelers on Sunday, according to multiple reports. NFL Network's Ian Rapoport reports that the team is also expected to activate TE Travis Kelce from the COVID list today but that he has not yet cleared the protocol. The move is "in case" he clears Sunday before game time. Continue to plan as though you won't have Kelce in your fantasy football lineup.
Ravens QB Tyler Huntley tested positive for COVID on Saturday morning and will miss Sunday's game against the Bengals. There's still a chance that Lamar Jackson plays, but he was expected to back up Huntley if active. Josh Johnson is now expected to start, 11 days after joining the Ravens.
A day after placing TE Travis Kelce on the COVID list, the Chiefs have added WR Tyreek Hill. And there's likely more coming. "It's a mess," a source tells ESPN's Adam Schefter, referring to the spread among the team right now. We'll see how the week goes for K.C. ... and our fantasy football rosters. Kansas City also placed TE Blake Bell and CB Rashad Fenton on the list Tuesday.
Dolphins WR Jaylen Waddle is set to be activated from the COVID list, HC Brian Flores said. So Waddle should get in a full week of practice and play vs. the Saints next Monday night. The rookie averaged 9.2 targets, 7.6 catches and 87.2 yards over his last 5 games.
The Rams have activated CB Jalen Ramsey from the COVID list, making him eligible to play Tuesday against the Seahawks. Ramsey has been in our Week 15 DB rankings and might carry even more upside if Tyler Lockett misses the game. (He's no lock to make it off the COVID list before the game.) No Lockett would likely mean even more targets for D.K. Metcalf, whom Ramsey figures to shadow as much as possible.
Dolphins WR Jaylen Waddle has been placed on the COVID list. He's a long shot to be cleared in time to play vs. the Jets on Sunday. His absence would leave WR DeVante Parker and TE Mike Gesicki as the clear top 2 options in Miami's passing game -- assuming they avoid the COVID list. QB Tua Tagovailoa's Week 15 fantasy stock takes a sizable hit without Waddle.
Washington CB Kendall Fuller landed on the COVID list Tuesday. It's not yet clear whether he tested positive, but multiple reports referred to myriad positive tests. Assume that you won't have Fuller available as a Week 15 IDP option.
S Jevon Holland has become the latest Dolphins player to land on the COVID list. We'll see whether he has a shot to make it back for Sunday's game against the Jets.
The Rams have placed CB Jalen Ramsey on the COVID list, which means he'll miss the Monday night matchup with Arizona. That leaves L.A. without its lead cover man and can only enhance the matchup for Cardinals WR DeAndre Hopkins -- as well as the rest of the pass-catchers. It's not clear what the plan will be at corner, where the Rams already had to place slot CB Dont'e Deayon on the COVID list. David Long figures to join Darious Williams in the starting lineup. The #3 spot appears up in the air. Williams and Long are the only 2 CBs on the active roster on the team website. The next man up could be an extra safety or former Giants DB Grant Haley (listed as a "DB").
Browns LB Anthony Walker will miss today's game against the Ravens on the COVID list. Malcolm Smith is expected to start in his place. Smith will carry some IDP upside, but Jeremiah Owusu-Koramoah is the top play among Cleveland LBs.
49ers RB Jeff Wilson (knee) graduated to a full practice on Thursday. Insider Matt Barrows confirms that Wilson is the "front runner" to operate as San Francisco's lead back vs. the Bengals this weekend. Wilson racked up 19 carries and 2 targets in a Week 11 spot start -- although he mustered just 58 scoreless yards.
49ers RB Jeff Wilson (knee) got in a limited practice on Wednesday. His knee flared up during last weekend's game, but it looks like he has a shot to play vs. the Bengals on Sunday. Wilson and RB JaMycal Hasty should be owned in all fantasy leagues with RB Elijah Mitchell (concussion, knee) iffy for Week 14.
Dolphins S Brandon Jones (ankle, elbow) is inactive for today's game against the Giants. EDGE Jaelan Phillips (hip) is active, however, and an upside play for pressure-friendly IDP leagues.
Dolphins S Brandon Jones (ankle, elbow) and EDGE Jaelan Phillips (hip) are questionable for Sunday's game against the Giants. Both players put in limited practices all week. Jones missed last week's game with the same injuries after a week of limited practices. Phillips' issue is new. We'll check the status of both potential IDP options Sunday morning.
