Philadelphia Eagles Fantasy Football News | Shark Bites

Shark Bites are the latest fantasy football news & NFL updates. Draft Sharks has been in business since 1999. And when we started, redraft was the dominant form of fantasy football. Check out what we've learned about this most basic form of fantasy football along the way.

The Eagles traded a 4th-round pick and two 5th-rounders to move up and select DT Jordan Davis in the 1st round of the 2022 NFL Draft. Davis is an athletic freak, running a 4.78-second 40-yard dash at 6'6 and 341 pounds. There's some question about his conditioning. Davis played less than 30% of the defensive snaps for the national-champion Georgia Bulldogs in 2021. His college numbers don't suggest much IDP impact in his future. Davis had just 11.5 tackles and 7 sacks across 4 seasons.

Eagles LB Alex Singleton was among a sizable group of Philly players to test positive for COVID on Monday. We'll see whether he can return to the active roster in time to face the Cowboys on Saturday night.

NFL Network's Tom Pelissero reports that "roughly a dozen" Eagles players tested positive for COVID on Monday, including TE Dallas Goedert, C Jason Kelce and DT Fletcher Cox. Last week's change to the league protocol gives all the players time to get back ahead of Saturday's game against the Cowboys. But the virus might also help nudge Philly coaches toward sitting these starters. The Eagles have little to gain in playoff positioning by beating Dallas in Week 18. We'll see what the team says on that front this week.

After scoring a TD for the 2nd straight game (this time off an INT), Eagles CB Darius Slay left Sunday's win over the Saints with a concussion. He'll need to pass through the league protocol before returning to game action. Philly visits the Giants next Sunday.

Eagles DE Brandon Graham will miss the rest of the season after rupturing his left Achilles' tendon. That leaves Josh Sweat, Derek Barnett and Ryan Kerrigan as Philadelphia's top 3 DEs.

According to multiple reports, the Eagles fear that DE Brandon Graham tore his left Achilles' tendon in Sunday's loss to the 49ers. We'll see about the official diagnosis, but such "fears" tend to be realized.

Eagles DE Brandon Graham left in the 2nd quarter of Sunday’s game against the 49ers with a left leg injury. He left the field unable to put any weight on it and rode a cart to the locker room. We’ll watch for updates.

The Eagles announced Monday that they have activated S Rodney McLeod from the PUP list. He had been on it since the start of camp while working back from a 2020 ACL tear. His activation ahead of the team setting the 53-man roster points to McLeod being ready early in the season -- perhaps in time for the opener. Philly would have had to keep him on the PUP list if the team wanted to have him open the season on it.

Eagles DT Bennie Logan (groin) and CB Leodis McKelvin (hamstring) are active for today's game against the Falcons. Neither is a strong IDP option, but their presence helps the defense -- which still isn't a strong fantasy option against Atlanta.
