Shark Bites are the latest fantasy football news & NFL updates. Draft Sharks has been in business since 1999. And when we started, redraft was the dominant form of fantasy football. Check out what we've learned about this most basic form of fantasy football along the way.
Ravens TE Isaiah Likely tallied 5 receptions for 38 yards and a TD in Sunday's loss to the Eagles. His 8 targets led the team, while his 5 receptions trailed only Mark Andrews.
Ravens TE Mark Andrews caught a team-high six passes for 67 yards and a TD in Sunday's loss to the Eagles. His TD came on a leaping grab of an end-zone throw that Lamar Jackson might have intended for Isaiah Likely. Andrews added another high-point catch late in the game
Someone should have told Eagles RB Saquon Barkley he had a tough rushing matchup with the Ravens on Sunday. He took 23 carries for 107 yards and a TD.
Eagles QB Jalen Hurts threw for just 118 yards and a TD in Sunday's win over the Ravens. He attempted only 19 passes compared with 33 team rushing attempts.
Seahawks TE Noah Fant caught three balls for 26 yards in Sunday's win over the Jets. That marked his return after missing three games with a back injury.
Jets RB Breece Hall entered Sunday's game questionable with a knee issue and finished the loss to Seattle with his smallest playing-time share of the season. Hall played 61.8% of the offensive snaps, marking just the second time all year that he played less than 70%. Hall had played 74-87% in each of the previous seven games.
49ers HC Kyle Shanahan said after Sunday night's loss to the Bills that RB Christian McCaffrey has a PCL injury that could be season-ending. McCaffrey will likely undergo additional testing on Monday to get a better look at the damage. We should get another update on his status over the next 24 hours. McCaffrey's absence would leave Jordan Mason as San Francisco's lead back once again. He out-carried RB Isaac Guerendo 13 to four in Buffalo. Mason, who's rostered in only 37% of Sleeper leagues, is the top target on waiver wires this week.
Jets WRs Davante Adams and Garrett Wilson each caught five passes in Sunday's loss to the Seahawks. Adams led the team, though, in targets (12) and receiving yards (66), and caught one of two Aaron Rodgers TD passes. Wilson drew 10 targets and tallied 41 yards.
49ers TE George Kittle only had two targets against the Bills. He caught one for seven yards and dropped a TE screen in the second half. It was an awful day all around for the 49ers offense who couldn’t move the ball much at all.
Bills RB James Cook scored his lone TD on a 65-yard run in the second quarter. Cook ended with 14 carries for 107 yards and a TD. He also caught one pass for 13 yards.
Bills QB Josh Allen had the highlight of the game throwing a pass to Amari Cooper who lateraled it back to Allen for the TD. He got the very rare double TD with a pass and receiving TD (but no catch). Allen ended completing 13-of-17 for 148 yards and two TDs. He also ran for an additional TD.
49ers QB Brock Purdy only threw for 94 yards in the 49ers loss against the Bills. He also turned the ball over on a fumble. Purdy was not comfortable in the pocket and could not get anything going in the passing game.
Seahawks RB Kenneth Walker III dominated RB carries 16-4 in Sunday's win over the Jets. But he ran even with Zach Charbonnet on pass plays. The No. 2 back matched Walker at 12 pass routes and 3 targets. Charbonnet also turned 2 receptions into 13 yards and took his 4 carries for 28 yards and a TD. Walker ran for 49 yards (3.1 per rush) and lost 3 yards on his 2 receptions.
49ers RB Christian McCaffrey exited in the second quarter of Sunday night's game vs. the Bills with an apparent right leg injury. He went down on his own with no contact. We'll update his status when we know more.
Update: McCaffrey is officially questionable to return with a knee injury.
Update: McCaffrey won't return, HC Kyle Shanahan said in an interview before the second half started.
Vikings TE T.J. Hockenson managed just 3 receptions for 28 yards in Sunday's win over the Cardinals. His 6 targets tied for second on the team, though, and constituted 19.4% of Sam Darnold's total pass attempts. Hockenson also ranked third among Vikings in routes, running one on 72% of Darnold's dropbacks.
Seahawks QB Geno Smith threw for just 206 yards and 1 TD in Sunday's win over the Jets. His team netted only 259 yards, benefiting from DL Leonard Williams' 92-yard INT return for a TD in the middle of the second quarter.
Rams WR Demarcus Robinson suffered a hand injury in the fourth quarter of Sunday’s game vs. the Saints and did not return. We should get an update on his status on Monday.
Panthers WR Adam Thielen led the team catching eight of 10 targets for 99 yards and a TD in his second game back from injury. It was a solid day for the Panthers WRs with Xavier Legette catching four of eight targets for 53 yards and David Moore catching five of nine targets for 40 yards.
Buccaneers RB Bucky Irving ran the ball 25 times for 152 yards and a TD. He also caught three passes for 33 yards. All of this despite a hip injury at the end of the first half that left him questionable to return. He did return and dominated the Panthers.
Buccaneers WR Mike Evans caught eight of 12 targets for 118 yards and a TD. Though QB Baker Mayfield left briefly with an ankle issue, he was able to return and continue to feed Evans the ball.
